PLEASE FIX BROKEN UNITS THAT CANT BE SELECTED
Please fix the units that break and are just skipped in the unit least, makes scrolling through units a headache and makes my unit least hard to organize
PLEASE FIX GEO TIF IMPORTS
Love the app but it refuses to properly recognize geo tif files, in particular geologic maps. Satellite imagery usually imports fine if taken from USGS, but having a geologic map as a layer in the app would be very helpful. It also has trouble with topo maps too.
Needs an update
This has the bones of A really good app but - it has not been updated for over four years, is very power hungry and does odd things.
The photos end up numbered differently to how they are stored. Line work sometimes gets corrupted when you close the app. Especially fine line work
Despite the small issues this is still my favorite field app by a country mile, but at some point I may be forced to try StraboSput.

Response from developer
Hi Structuregeo, thanks for the review and appreciated! Several updates in the last couple of months, including fixes for the mentioned fine detail line work, grainy photo capture preview, upload gallery photo crash. Latest is 1.7.6 supporting iOS 18. Happy mapping!
Great app
This is the best app for collecting geological data. My only gripe is that there is no support for iPadOS 14.6 yet, so I cannot load my basemaps into FieldMove.
Very useful but glitchy app
This is a wonderful app for following maps and collecting a range of data types. It has quickly become my go-to for basic geologic sampling and documentation work. Unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because it has a number of significant bugs that should be easy for the developers to sort out: 1. Crashing immediately upon taking a photo (oddly my colleague’s install on a similar iPad mini has no such problem), 2. Occasional app freezes, 3. The GPS tracking is often slow to find the device (slower than other apps on the same device) and sometimes stops updating the location without even showing that GPS tracking is off, 4. Heavy battery use, 5. Refusing to use certain stratigraphic units that have been stored, and 6. Other, rarer, problems, including once refusing repeatedly to lock in a strike and dip I’d typed in. It would also be quite helpful if users could load feature data, such as from a KML or shapefile.
