What's New in FigJam

25.13.0

April 16, 2025

- The Hand and Select tools are now combined into one intuitive, touch-first mode for navigating the canvas and moving objects around. - The new Precision select tool in FigJam’s bottom toolbar lets you select objects by drawing around them with your finger or Apple Pencil. - If you’re an Apple Pencil user, turn on the new “Pencil always draws” setting in the ••• menu in the top toolbar to automatically start drawing whenever your Apple Pencil touches the canvas. You can also turn off “Draw with finger” for a pencil-only drawing experience. Visit the Help Center at figma.com/help for more tips and tricks!

Apple Pencil integration is poor

You literally cannot use the scribble feature of Apple Pencil making this terrible if you want someone else to stop in who needs to use a keyboard and text.

Disappointed with pen stabilisation

Recent additions of stabilisation to the pen are infuriating. With the procreate app you can dial it to the amount you need - drawing sometimes means you need more. Writing with it however, is a nightmare and our entire team use it to draw and annotate as it’s easier for us. But at this point I think I’ll probably avoid using the app until they update it and head back to procreate and share wireframes in a different way. Probably the first update where it feels like they’ve done bare minimum, usually FigJam/Figma updates are exciting.

UPDATE DELETED MY STUFF

I like this app better than the default Freeform Apple one, but I was so frustrated when I realized there is no iPhone version. I don’t care to try to draw on my iPhone but I do want to view my boards from my phone.

THEN I UPDATED TODAY. AND LOST EVERYTHING. I AM VERY UPSET. DO NOT USE THIS APP.
