I really appreciate the concept of this app. After being in a creative rut/crisis of confidence/having creative blocks for a while, this has helped to get me back into the habit of creating and boosting my confidence. Although it is partly what you make of it, and the prompts are different enough that you can approach them in a variety of ways, there are a few things that could be adjusted to make this good app into a great one. As others have said, it gets rather repetitive. As a creativity researcher myself, I know there could be a lot more different kinds of prompts provided to add some more interest and variety to ensure it doesn’t feel so stale and samey. It is also a bit glitchy…several of my creations, after saving them to the gallery, subsequently disappeared. I now screenshot things I want to keep a record of myself as I don’t trust the app will necessarily keep it. The lack of chance to interact with other users at first frustrated me, but I think given the nature of the internet and how people can be to one another, perhaps that’s for the best. I do like seeing what others have created though. In short, this app is unlike anything else I’ve seen in terms of apps meant to train creativity, but it could do with a bit more development to ensure it keeps people interested and returning.
