Our goal is to help students and teachers with distance learning, with cosmetology theory, with practical application, and with state board preparation. There’s so much to cover! We never want to mislead. Basic cosmetology IS our purpose. The app teaches basic cosmetology through 35 classes and 368 step-by-step procedures. We have 49 short films and 105 tests focused on cosmetology theory, which we have found many students struggle with. We do have 2 full videos of haircuts—a round layered haircut and a square layered haircut—along with dozens of shorter films focused on tools, techniques, and haircutting theory. Filmbook content was actually created for a cosmetology school to teach basic cosmetology to students. We are sorry Filmbook wasn’t what you expected, and we want to make it right. UPDATE July 2021: We now have 4 full videos of haircuts—a one-length haircut, a round layered haircut, a square layered haircut, and a clipper cut. We also added 2 new business classes: Starting Your Career and Owning a Salon. In all, you get 37 classes and over 50 how-to films when you subscribe.
