About
FilmLabel turns your Blackout Lighting Console patch list into beautiful, print-ready fixture labels in seconds.
Import your CSV patch export directly from Blackout, and FilmLabel automatically generates professional labels for every fixture on your rig. No manual data entry, no spreadsheets, no workarounds.
PRINT ANYWHERE
Print wirelessly via AirPrint to any compatible printer, or connect directly to a NIIMBOT B1 thermal label printer via Bluetooth, no detour through the NIIMBOT app required.
FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE LABELS
Choose which fixture fields appear on each label: fixture number, DMX address, manufacturer, type, mode, footprint, and more. Create multiple presets for different label sizes and layouts: console-style bars, tech labels, road case tags, QR scan labels, and full documentation layouts.
BUILT FOR THE INDUSTRY
Designed by and for gaffers, lighting programmers, and DOPs working on film, TV, and live events. FilmLabel speaks the language of the set: Aputure, ARRI, Astera, Litepanels, Quasar, and every other fixture in your patch.
QR CODE INTEGRATION
Every label can include a QR code that links directly to the fixture's full data sheet, scan on set to pull up channel, mode, and footprint instantly.

Niimbot thermal printing now recognises the label roll you loaded on its own: white and transparent labels both work with nothing to change in the settings. If you use third-party rolls you can still pick the type by hand. Fixed an issue on the B1 Pro with 50x80 labels, where it could skip a label between prints and progressively misalign the following ones. Also fixed print truncation on long labels with a coloured background. FilmLabel now runs on Apple Silicon Macs, with the same experience as on iPad. On iPad, fixed a freeze that could happen while the print window was open, and restored the list of supported printers with their purchase links, which was missing from the Import screen.
