It just works
Email doesn’t always show completely
The app should start with the Inbox
Need to customize signature
Links don’t work in email responses
“Send anyway?” popup for no reason
Doesn’t auto-complete match to valid email addresses when typing in the To field
Release notes spam
Update: Excellent response from developer regarding these
Can’t paste copied images
Can’t select and copy codes from the summary. This is made worse by the email body being hidden.
There’s a fake app, file mail, ahead of them in Google search results for “filo mail”
“Allow Filo to access devices on the local network “

If Only They Were Honest
Several parts of the description claim connectivity to any inbox. For example (direct quote as of 16-May 20:13) - “Works with Gmail, Microsoft accounts, and all standard IMAP providers. Connect any inbox, manage everything from one place.”
That is not correct. It works only with Gmail, and the in-app AI confirmed this, as did their site listing “Outlook” as beta.
Yes, most accounts can be checked via Gmail, but that’s not always feasible, and it’s also not what their marketing repeatedly claims. To me, honesty matters. A lie by omission or misdirection remains a lie. If I can’t trust them to provide honest specifics about the service they offer, how can I trust them with email security and good hygiene?
I genuinely want this platform to succeed because there’s real potential here. But potential without transparency is a hard sell, especially when you’re asking users to trust you with their communications.
Response from developer
Thank you for the thoughtful and candid feedback. You’re right to call this out. Our wording created the impression that full inbox connectivity was already broadly available in the core product experience, and that was misleading. To clarify: Gmail is currently the most mature native experience, while Outlook and standard IMAP inboxes can already be connected and managed through our Agent capabilities. That said, the way we described this was not clear enough, and we understand why it felt inconsistent with what you saw in the app and on our site. Trust and transparency matter a lot, especially for an email product, and we should have communicated the current state more precisely. We’re adjusting the wording to make this clearer and will be more careful going forward. We truly appreciate your honesty and the chance to improve.
