$20-30 a day to use this app
This app costs about $20-30 a day to have enough coins to actually manage one ffxiv account. Its an additional $20-30 a day per character. If you dont spend money you can interact with 1 character once per day when in reality you need to be able to do it 100-200 interactions per day
Paid version not a sufficient product.
I pay for this app, yet cannot see items retainers bring back from ventures. Using retainers to sell items requires additional $ for Mog coins, unless you only list 2 items a day.
Does not work
The app keeps telling me to update the app because there’s a new version I go to the App Store and it says I’m up-to-date and it won’t let me go into the app
App no longer works
Since the release of 7.51, the app will instruct you to update and not let you use the app. There is no update on the App Store making the app unusable.
Update?
I don’t know if it’s just me but when I open the app it tells me I have to go to the app store to update the app to continue, but when I go to the app store there is no update, so I can’t use the app
Scam app
If you think about it this app is 17.99 subscription($5 for app and $12.99 for the game which you obviously also need) just to be extremely limited on what you can even do. You only get 2 uses a day if premium, or 1 if you don’t pay extra on top of you game sub.
The black desert+ app is basically the same feature list aside from retainers, the chat system is linked directly with the actual game chat and all of which functions as a fully unrestricted app for free for a game you are not already paying monthly for, and no artificial limitations.

My Trusted Companion
The app is exactly what it presents itself to be, a companion! It delivers just what an adventurer would need from marketing items to chatting with fellow players/free company mates.

When I downloaded it I thought I was getting an app that would help me find mobs, has guides, and tips. It’s not that. It’s a discord for people without discord I guess. I can barely operate the app. I keep accidentally editing the homepage. I have no idea what use this could be for. The market thing isn’t helpful, and the ventures you can’t even choose the one you want. You have to go in game to do the longer ones.
I’d like the job guides, events, updates, world boss timers, pot timers, server info’s. Maybe even a mini version of my house on the app. That way I could log into the app and handle stuff from inside my house. That would be difficult but just an idea of something better than what the app currently is….
Something that I would actually find useful.
Take a look at the Dodo companion app for ark. That thing used to slap back in the day. Wouldn’t need to go to anyone else’s website, just toss up the app and I can find any info I needed. Like a mini encyclopedia of the game. AN ACTUAL USEFUL APP.
Here is another idea for you, Global market access, global party finder’s. These are things third party websites give you for free. Cmon you can’t tell me yall can’t implement that into your app. I’ve made apps before with much more content. I’m a single human being. Imagine what you could make with a dedicated dev team.
Be for real, it’s a money grab.
Add those things and people will actually like your app.

Great app!! Easy to use! Best companion app I’ve ever used for a game!

Update: Y’all’s changed the layout system and I can no longer put things on the bottom of the screen, so the now clutter up over my character. This is not great, aesthetically speaking.
The free version is OK, I guess.
The paid version comes with some nice in game perks.
I’d recommend some better sorting options on here however. Let me search my retainers in more efficient ways, if you’re going to charge this much, for example let me look for all gear that can be used by a 40-49 Bard.

To do what you really want the app for, you have to spend money, at that price you better off getting more retainers
Renew subscription mogstation
Would be nice if we could pay our subscription fee with ffxiv companion apps.
Instead of going into websites! Where many people got phished while using the website. Ffxiv could implement vpn and anti-virus. Not only a subscription purchases for FFXIV instead of going to website that is less security than the ffxiv companion apps!

You have to pay to use the game per month, pay to use the app with another monthly subscription, and they have the gall to limit your interactions with the app unless you’re willing to pay more per interaction.

Cosmic Exploration Updates
It’s starting to feel more like a companion app all the time and the new additions to include Cosmic Exploration are very welcome. I’d like to see similar features extended to battle related activities such as Occult Crescent where appropriate. Something to the tune of tracking challenges in instanced areas or something like that.

Decent Interactions
I like the ability to freely move items between inventory, saddlebags, and retainers! Very OP after a long sesh once you log off.
However, it’s too expensive to manage retainers with mogcoins / the rate of kupo nuts should be increased if you have more retainers.
Also big feature request :
Please add integration with duty finder. A new menu/ widget that gives push notifications to the phone when party finder is full/ duty finder needs action from the user (commence, withdraw, etc) or allow the user to queue for instances directly from the app for a kupo nut or something.

Useful once you have retainers
This app becomes more helpful once you have retainers as it gives you a fairly nice frontend outside of the game to manage your market sales and retainer jobs. However, it is unfortunate that SQEX is making people buy coins to perform these actions from the app. A paid subscription to the game should be enough!

Not very useful
Not quite sure what benefit this app provides. The outfit doesn’t update either.
They have turned this app into something quite wonderful!
This app went from being hardly worth the download, to something super functional and beneficial. I love the ability to organize storage and move inventory items from me to my retainers or my chocobo saddlebags. Buying and selling from the marketplace is easy and convenient. And initiating retainer hunting ventures on the go is awesome! (Hoping they implement something similar for Grand Company squadron missions soon too) The premium version is totally worth the money for the additional retainer alone, plus an additional saddlebag sealed the deal for me.
