Overpriced

It’s an outstanding game but priced too high. It’s twenty years old after all, and less well-suited to mobile. If I understand the pricing model correctly, one person buys it for £25 and the three other people can play with that person for free. Why? Just make it £6.25 per account.

Another issue is that the multiplayer relies on a server. Why? There should be a Wi-Fi local multiplayer mode so the multiplayer game can still be played when the servers inevitably go off-line one day. That day could be tomorrow.

Not worth buying it at the current price with the current risk.

No true local play and no controller support?

Very odd to call this a remaster and then not improve the headline feature (local multiplayer) or even add controller support.

It's great that I don't need the full game to play co opp if I have it on my switch already but why do you need to insert a separate device into the equation at all? My switch and all my joycons and controllers are right there, why can't I just use those like I would in any of the other multiplayer Nintendo games I own? And when I get my phone working and connected I need to use touch screen controls? In 2024? Honestly I had a better experience playing this with my game boy advanced plugged into my GameCube back in the early 2000s.

Legendary game but if I had known the local multiplayer was going to be such a downgrade I wouldn't have purchased it on switch. Definitely need to do my research before thinking of buying other Nintendo "remasters" in the future.

No Controls = Limited Skill

When I saw that this game as the same one I remembered playing on GameCube I was excited to give it a try. I even bought a kishi razor so I could play it with a controller so I can have a similar experience. Sadly… I found out it doesn’t support controllers at all. Now don’t get me wrong, I won’t dis a game just because it doesn’t support controllers. However sadly when the touch screen controls are so unintuitive, it makes the experience very lackluster and frustrating in more difficult levels. You won’t be able to block or switch to spells fluidly during fights like you could with controller because they decided to make you slide to switch instead of just pressing a “next” option. This all just limits crazy things you can pull off and sadly I would say just play it if you are fine dodging and W+M1 swinging. However don’t think your going to be able to use crazy skills in succession with the controls as they currently are.

Nostalgia in my hands but it needs controller support

It’s so awesome that any time I want I can play my favorite game of the past 20 years. The touchscreen controls are actually good to use and are intuitive. But, this game needs controller support to make it more fun. When I’m lounging on the couch I like to hookup my Backbone controller to my iPhone 14 pro max Sadly this is one of the only games I have installed that don’t use controllers. Please add controller support. Thank you for reading.

This game would play amazing with controller support

Please add support to backbone

I really love this game I used to play it when it first came out on the GameCube being a fan of this game I have bought it on my PS5 and on my iPhone so I can play on the go. I just recently bought a backbone to play my mobile games more comfortably but Final fantasy crystal chronicles isn’t supported as an update please add backbone support.

Controller support

I want to relive my childhood and I want to do that while playing on a controller stick, I have yet to fill engaged as I once did as a kid like I want to. Other than that you’ve done mostly everything else right.

Please include support for the Backbone controller support.

A game about memories

Is unfortunately going to remain a memory. As a price point, I think $40 is a bit much for a game from 2003.

It’s disappointing that the remaster made the basic features of the game worse. Picking up items feels awful, especially since magic can roll around. Moving around the map with touch controls feels bad as well.

I still love the game, and wish I could recommend this to my friends. But for the price and the lack of polish in the touch controls I never could.

Pretty fun to play with friends I recommend

Great game, but needs controller support

I loved this game in the Gamecube era, but it was so hard to find friends to play with who also had a GBA and a link cable. Making the game playable with friends online is a revelation, and even better with crossplay. Having full teams of 4 players is the game the way it was meant to be played.

I would make it 5 stars except for the inexplicable lack of controller support. The touch screen controls work pretty well, since it’s not a particularly precise game, but why not add the option, especially when there are console versions of the game?

disappointed

this game growing up was a all time favorite, a big aspect was to be able to play with my friends. This games multiplayer functions is what is really holding this game back from its shine. Make it to where the players can go to the same town as each other and just to move as one party. This gets fixed it will be a 5 star

Thinking

I like the game so far, the trial. But I am unsure if I want to buy it or not.
I heard the multiplayer mode changed since gamecube and it sounds much better in the old version as you could truly travel, even towns, with your teammates.
I still do enjoy the gameplay. The graphic is nice and it always amaze me to see games that were once on console coming to mobile.
The control, personally, i am fine with it. But it is difficult to use spells this way... hmm maybe it is not fine after all..
And the mooggle button... needs to change place... it bothers a lot.
Also, the pick up botton, being in the middle of the screen, really stops the flow of the game.
Many people noted the same things.
I hope it will be considered and fixed.
Meanwhile, I am still fighting between if it is worth buying it or not...

Love it!

This game brings back fond memories of the original version for the Nintendo Game Cube! Just started playing and not disappointed. Already love it! Have a great day. If you need me I will be playing this game!

Game play

Too hard to play
Character not strong enough at start
Can’t get past first level

trash

trash
good luck killing anything after year 5

Why is it listed free

I love how the game is free to download and they casually throw in you have to buy the full version for 25 dollars, that’s kinda annoying but it’s still as amazing as I remember when I was young
