Much better
I prefer the app over the web gui “dashboard”. The local alerts need to be better and allow GPS to be used on the end device to continuously update your search parameters. Let me reiterate, the GPS location information should NOT be uploaded to the dataminr cloud and ONLY used on the local end user device.

Additional Option
Really like this App, but an additional feature that would be nice would be able to select the level of alert you wish to receive for each Topic/Location
While you have some choices like receiving all alerts or just Flashes there isn’t an Option to be able to receive only Urgent and Flash notifications and not lower alerts

App broken
This app used to work great, but now will no longer open. I still get notifications, but the app is not functional if you click on the alert or try to open the app… just a black screen. Please fix this!!!!!
No Option to Create An Account
So I installed the app and there’s only a login option. No way to create an account.
Unusable
Within the last month something happened to the app that only shows a blank screen when opened.
Recently broken
Been using this app for a few years now to keep aware of things going on near my family in a hotspot region of the world. Up until recently (last few weeks) is worked great, but now the app is completely broken and has zero functionality anymore.

Latest update issues
This has been a great app, until now. The latest update causes several bugs, empty fields, corrupted flash pages and inconsistent reporting. Really hope the next update arrives quickly and actually fixes these. Not useful in this current version

Keeps me informed of information in real time, one of the best apps on my phone.
Still no filter option on mobile
I requested/suggested an option to filter types of alerts by the types of alerts one receives (the various window panes one creates in the web app version) over 2 years ago & was told it was one of the new upcoming features. Well I still don’t see that built into the app, nor any new features to make this platform any better. A few tweaks could really make this a better, more reliable tool, both web & mobile versions.

This app is fantastic. It’s always the first to report anything, and is extremely easy to use. A reputable app that always follows up on stories, and makes sure to correct false reports, so you have the most factual information. Truly one of the best news apps out there, giving you straight facts and data.

Upside down
There is a 60% chance when opening the app that it doesn’t orient itself to the way you are holding your iPad, and the app will then be stuck in that orientation. Only way to fix is to force close and reopen.
Update goes a long ways but little glitches remain
This app use to be unbearable when scrolling through the news. At the bottom of the feed it would load news and then jump randomly to a spot. I would have to scrolling up several pages to find where i left off. Not any more!

Ridicules updates
This app needs updates once a week. And if you don’t update it it prompts you to update everytime you open the app. Sure first world problems. But of the apps people use on a daily basis, they need updates about 1-2 times a year, this one is weekly sometimes.

This app is easy to use and keeps me up-to-date in the latest happenings according to my preferences. There are lots of features, menus and sub-menus so it can get a bit confusing but with enough time and effort this app does its job.
