Nice idea, but ….

The software couldn’t get an accurate read of my left foot. Tried twice. It generated a 3-D image of a misshapen foot that’s not mine.
Apart from that, the next step, which is on the Fischer website, is not clearly explained. With a little quality coding they could get this running really well and it could be worthwhile. As is, it’s a waste of time for those that already know what bit size to get.
What would be really helpful is publishing min and max foot length and ball width measurements they recommend for each boot type and size.

Useless

The app is supposed to “identify the optimal match-up of boot and foot” - it doesn’t. All it does is measure your foot dimensions, and not very accurately at that (two measurements of the same foot length differed by 7 mm, which is a lot). Then the “boot advisor” just redirects you to the online store, no “match-up” offered. A simple ruler would do the same job, faster and more accurately.

No

App recommended 22.5, shop fit me at 27.5.

Don’t waste your time

App is broken. I tried it twice and each time I received an “scan failed: operation timed out” error.

App Login doesn’t work

Setting up a login is pointless as once you go to login the LOGIN button is unresponsive. You can’t login. Useless.
The scan feature is cool. Just don’t bother with the login credentials

Does not work

Waste of time. The scan doesn’t work at all.
Even with nearly perfect alignment of the ‘dot’ and the paper outline - nothing is happening and there is no way to push the scan to proceed…

Nope

Didn’t work. Wouldn’t take photo.

Make sure you hit ‘find my size’ in their online store

After you scan your feet, the app takes you to Fischer’s website, where you create an account. After selecting the style of boot you’d like (Alpine, etc), it displays all the boots in that category, and at that point you have to select ‘find my size,’ and the app recommends your size based on your scans. It’s confusing at first because when it displays all the boots in the class you selected, along with their size ranges, it looks like your scans aren’t being referenced, but once you click on a boot and hit ‘find my size’ it’ll take your scans into account and return the specific size for that boot.

Needs work

Great idea but needs some work. Results were off by 2 sizes. Also I shouldn’t have to provide my email address to get the result. Now I feel like you got my address in exchange for an incorrect sizing estimate.

Wildly inaccurate

Ran this twice on my feet and once on my husband’s. Recommended multiple sizes too small each time. Recommended a 37 when I know I am a 39 or 40. Recommended a 40 for my husband who is a 43 or 44. Was hoping this app would recommend one size or the other as I’m usually between sizes or size varies by brand, but there’s no way my feet are a 37 and I even went to try on a pair of boots in person to see whether the app was super off or Fischer just runs extra extra big (it was the app... and 40 was the winner).

Shouldn’t this tell me what size boot I should wear?

It’s interesting to see the measurements of my foot, but I thought it would come back and tell me what size boot I should get. There were several boots suggested, each from size 36 to 49. Is my foot just to weirdly shaped and they don’t know what to tell me?

Was NOT expecting it to work this well

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to because I was blown away with how spit on the measurements were from a few simple pictures. Snap 3 on each foot and you have more info than any ski shop could ever tell you. If you are looking to get sizing for your boot, even if it’s not a Fischer boot, USE THIS APP

Umm... great idea, but it doesn’t work at all.

Love the concept, but I couldn’t get it to take a photo for life of me. After trying unsuccessfully for about 20 minutes (18 minutes too long to commit to this thing), I gave up and deleted it. Worthless and a waste of time.

Super cool!

I love the app, I had no idea how different my feet were!

Uh? What?

Have run twice. Thinks my size 12.5 is feet will fit a 23 mondopoint boot. Rough transition to show boots that work. I dunno. Doesn’t work period for me.

Dead on accurate

I never rate apps but this is awesome. I work for a major footwear company where i have actual 3D scans of my feet for wear/fit testing. The length and instep height compared to the scan is almost dead accurate. One difference is it seems the app measures across the ball girth rather than around, not a big deal. Found a deal for some Fischer boots online that wasn't available in ski shops near me so now i know what size to get.

cant connect

i have tried several times, but failed in connection all time.could someone help me?

Really interesting, but...

It would be nice if instead of just displaying which shell size I should pick, if the app would also go through the data base to tell me which shells may best fit my foot. With a 112.5mm width, it is not useful to have you showing me 98mm lasts. Would also be nice if you indicated how far vacuum boot shells could expand without stretching.

Crazy Accurate

Congrats on an amazing app I doubted it will give me the right size as I already own my boots and its gave me the size I use. Kuddos.
