Doesn’t Work

Couldn’t create an account to do anything. Kept receiving “ We could not create a new account with the information you provided. Please try again. If you continue to experience problems in creating your account, please contact customer support.”

Green drake

Can’t open anything. It used to work great. What happened???

Stocking information

I mean what else do you want, I don’t know why everybody is crying about this app, it gives you all the stocking information, can’t imagine you’d need this for much more than the stocking schedules.

Great app but some things can be fixed

This is a great app but I think something that would be worth making is a filter for fish type

Links

Hope folks have better luck finding fish than they do finding information son this app.

Poorly made app

Every time I click on something under the more tab doesn’t work. It takes me to the webpage and says, “The page you are looking for doesn’t exist.” That is 25 percent of the app that just doesn’t work. You can view your license, get a license, and see what streams are stocked.

This app is still not working properly!!!

Links lead to a message that reads “The page you’re looking for does not exist”.
Don’t waste your time downloading this app.
If you want up to date information go directly to the Pa Fishing and Boating web site = fish and boat.com

Can’t open trout maps

Do not pay the developer of this app until it’s fixed! It public tax money … this isn’t difficult!

Removed the fishing report

My favorite part of the app was the fishing report. It’s now gone. I loved hearing info of the areas that I will be going to fish.

Crap

Faster to go to the website.

Trout Stocking Schedule

App locks up trying to do a county search.

Dysfunctional pass-through app.

As other reviews have noted, much of this app simply connects the user to various PFBC webpages. Many pages are stuck on “loading” and brick the app. Others load and say “this page does not exist.) Accessing stocking schedules freezes the app. (Same thing has been happening on the PFBC website for months.) Even accessing a list of stocked waters or boat accesses freezes the app and leaves a “loading” square stuck on the screen. Region reports barely contain info for a third of the covered areas. These reports are coming from paid PFBC staff members who have Conservation/Waterway Officers to tap for pics and info. Not sure why this is not more robust. Fish ID section stinks too. Basic panfish like pumpkinseed or redbreast sunfish aren’t even pictured. Bass don’t exist. Catfish don’t exist. Shad don’t exist. Despite the law changing 18 months ago, the app still doesn’t have the ability to display your current license electronically.

Needs to be better

I’m trying to see the trout stocking map and it just loads forever and then when I go on the website it says try again later 🤷🏻‍♂️

Loading

Useless

Doesn’t work

This app used to be great, now it won’t Load anymore, useless.

Doesn’t work

Just says Loading…on cellular or WiFi, it doesn’t load anything. Another wonderful government project, using tax payer money, that doesn’t work….

Some information but very glitchy

The app requires lookups that don’t work. The app is hard to move around in as it does not respond when you tap on the done button. Seems like a great idea but needs lots of work. Have the developers ever tested it?

Few Small Glitches

There are a few small glitches, but not bad overall. When purchasing a license, it defaults your DL expiration to year 1900. It’s not a big deal, but you have to scroll through the years until you get to the current calendar year (why is this even an option?). Others have mentioned that you cannot print your license from the app which is sort of annoying. I have heard that you can now show an officer your license on a smartphone—it would be nice if they made this a simple part of the app to pull up a full screen image of the license. Finally, it doesn’t combine your trout stamp with the standard resident fishing license. I assume that as long as you have the trout/Lake Erie stamp available you don’t need to carry the standard one as well since you can’t purchase the trout permit without a standard license. It used to be an added permit to the standard; now for some reason they are two separate licenses.

No stocking dates

I downloaded this app to see the stocking schedule. All trout stocking dates have shown 1/1/1900 for the past two months. Uninstalled.

Mostly a pass through app

Overall I was disappointed with app. When purchasing a license you are redirected to the web store. After purchasing the license, you cannot print from iOS. The normal share icon is not available to print to a connected network printer. The only options are to email and print the receipt and to screenshot the license for printing. I could not find a place to create a login for the app. It would be helpful to sign in and be able to retrieve the license image no that the license display requirements have been changed.
