Scan App doesn't work
I thought it was my phone but the app UNDER PERFORMS. I used to spend quite a bit of money in the Carmel, Indiana store, but I have stopped for two reasons. First, I am unable to scan barcodes and second, scan and go go is not available until after 8 am. I will bring my business back there when these two issues are no longer an issue for me.

Please fix the camera focus issue
I love the ability to use scan, pay, and go. It’s one of the reasons that I shop at Giant Eagle. The camera focus used to work; please, please fix it.
What happened to this app?
Like everyone else has mentioned I can’t scan the barcodes. Even if I manually put in the UPC numbers (a complete pain!) there’s a really good chance I wont be able to check out. There are so many stores that are doing this right. Why can’t GE get it together? Do they want me to shop elsewhere?
App doesn’t work
App never works. Log in pages just keeps recycling. My card has been locked but can’t change the pin because of the log in issue.
Camera Focus Broken
App used to work. After an update, for several months now, the app lost its ability to ‘tap on the screen to focus’ while attempting to scan a barcode. It used to work just like taking a picture, where you could tap and it would bring the barcode into focus. now the app has 0 ability to refocus. so if you aren’t holding the item barcode at some unknown perfect distance when first clicking to scan, it will never scan. you have to back out of the attempt and try again - often taking several attempts to scan the item.
It used to be possible to tap to focus - and other working scan pay go apps (like sam’s club) handle this fine. Not sure where giant eagle is putting their giant profits - but it’s certainly not in improving the shopping experience. this app is completely overlooked - no wonder most people use the scan guns.
