Booked a trip while on vacation in Florida, for snook/tarpon captain stated that there boat wasn’t meant for inshore fishing and we would need to do an off shore trip for an additional $398 after already paying $798. Captain told me I would get a refund, fishing booked will not reply or help me with getting my money back!!!

This was my fifth trip with Austin and he has made each trip special. My son Brandon has Down syndrome and Austin is awesome with him. They are buddies for life. He also caught his biggest fish ever on our recent trip. Looking forward to many more with Austin and Tannic Adventures.

I have tried twice to book a 4 hr fishing trip once the app said the captain was available which he wasn’t and the second time the captain cancelled at the last minute. Don’t trust this app go direct to the charter captain.

I booked a fishing trip through this app and received a confirmed reservation. On the day of the trip, minutes before the scheduled meeting time, I contacted the captain — and he told me he hadn’t used FishingBooker in a long time and had no idea the booking even existed.
That’s a massive platform failure. A booking should never be “confirmed” unless the captain actively accepts it. Instead, FishingBooker allows inactive or irresponsible listings to stay live, which wastes customers’ time and puts their money at risk.
There is also no clear customer support phone number, so when something goes wrong at the last minute, you’re stuck filling out forms instead of talking to a human.
Until FishingBooker fixes basic accountability — real captain confirmation, removal of inactive listings, and accessible support — I would not trust this app for time-sensitive bookings.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND!!!!
I signed my husband and son up for a four hour trip which was supposed to take place on Christmas Eve morning. The only directions I had to give my husband was the name of the marina. He went there and when he got there went to the bathroom, it was only then did the captain finally send me the directions. It took my husband twenty minutes of driving around the marina to find the boat captain even after I had asked him to go help my husband (we weren’t from the area). Finally the captain came and found my husband and son, and said that doing a half day job wasn’t worth his time. I think the real issue is that we didn’t tip in advance. Now fishing booker is holding my $180 deposit saying we were late, even though it was the captain who canceled the fishing trip! This company is not reputable. If they were being honest they would give us all of our money back immediately.

Horrible captain
Captain showed up under the influence. Blew a spark plug, dumped loads of oil. Did not let a single person in the party touch a fishing pole. Took hours to get back because we were down an engine. Took my money and cancelled the trip so I can’t leave a review on the captain. This website is doing everything it can to defend this drug addict thief. Be careful of scams I recommend saving your money. My family is out $900

Book with the captain directly.
NEVER book a trip on Fishing Booker always contact the charter Captain first and call them before going ahead and booking the trip. Fishing Booker is terrible at letting the Captains know about an upcoming trip and doesn’t point you in the right direction on who you should book with!

I booked in May for a halibut trip in August in Homer, AK. Flew to Anchorage, and drove 4-hours to Homer in a rental car. Stayed in a hotel. Got up early and had my wife drive me to the dock. The directions to find the boat in the Fishing Booker app did not include dock or slip number, but showed a map location. I went there. No boat. Looked for the charter boat company on google and went to location on map. No boat. Texted and called captain repeatedly. No response. Called Fishing Booker’s help line. No answer. The boat was supposed to leave at 7am. At 8:09am I received a message that the trip was cancelled. Got a call from the captain saying he let Fishing Booker know several days prior that the trip was cancelled. No message of cancellation was sent to me before the trip. In fact I received a reminder confirmation text the evening before. Do not use Fishing Booker. Book through the charter companies directly. Cut out the middle man and save yourself a huge headache and expense.

Rather than research myself, I used fishing booker. My guides charged a ton and we caught maybe two tiny fish. It was basically a stinky dirty boat trip. We were rushed in as if they had other plans. They made it obvious that guides take advantage of clients from fishing booker. Spend time researching on your own.
