What's New in Fit PA

1.15

October 20, 2026

Meals you log in another app now reach Fit PA. If your food app saves meals to Apple Health or Health Connect, Fit PA reads them, so your nutrition page and your coach see what you ate without logging anything twice. A meal you edit or delete in Fit PA stays the way you left it. Fibre and sugar are now tracked on every meal. Fibre has a daily floor that scales with your energy target and stands down before a race. Sugar is read by when you ate it: the share taken around a session counts as fuel, and the rest is shown separately.

incredible for beginners & serious runners!

I had the opportunity to test this app and I ended up using it way more than I thought I would! I’m an experienced marathon runner and a running coach and I build my own training rather than following a generic plan. What I LOVE about this app is that it doesn’t feel like someone simply handed AI a marathon plan template and called it a coaching app.
I use it alongside my own training as another set of eyes on what I’m doing. I can look at a workout one way, then open the app and get feedback based on what I actually ran… my pace, effort, training load, recovery and how that session fits into the bigger picture.
One of my favorite things is the post run feedback. Instead of just seeing numbers and deciding whether a run was “good” or “bad” based on whether I hit a pace, it gives context to the workout and what I accomplished physiologically. That is incredibly valuable, especially during high volume marathon training when not every run is supposed to be impressive.
I also love being able to use it as a sounding board. I’m very intentional with my training, so I don’t necessarily want an app making every decision for me. I want something that can analyze what I’m doing, give me another perspective, point out trends, and help me think through adjustments. This does exactly that.
and bc it has access to my actual training data, the feedback feels specific to ME rather than the generic “run easy, recover and listen to your body” advice you often get from AI.
I originally downloaded it because I was given the opportunity to test it. I kept using it because it became genuinely useful.
Whether you’re a newer runner who wants more guidance and help understanding your training, or an experienced runner who already has a plan and wants intelligent feedback on how your body is responding to it, I think there’s a ton of value here.
It’s basically become my second set of coaching eyes on my own training and I love having it!

Thank you for such a generous and detailed review. As a coach yourself, hearing that the feedback feels specific to you rather than generic "listen to your body" advice means we're doing exactly what we set out to do. Being useful to someone who already builds their own training, not just someone who needs a plan handed to them, is a hard bar to clear, so this genuinely means a lot to the team. Your expertise gives this review real weight for other experienced runners and coaches deciding whether to trust the app with their training, so we don't take it lightly that you're willing to vouch for it. Thanks for sticking with the app and for taking the time to write this.

Best training app ever

I have used countless training plans over the years. My search is over.

Fit PA is a remarkable tool for athletes looking for insight, guidance, and an occasional kick in the butt. Its ability to connect with your watch and use the data to form a better plan is fantastic. My AI coach gives me the perfect mix of reality and dreams, while keeping me in line. It’s a great incentive to suck it up for those last two miles when you know your coach is watching.

I was able to lay out a 22-week plan for my key race with several B races thrown in. I can adjust pace and distance as we go along and the coach analyzes how I’m doing and weighs in on possible changes to react to the numbers.

It’s perfect for ultramarathon plans, with the ability to map back-to-back and even back-to-back-to back weeks and a coach who understands the concept of ultra training. Just the right mix of “you know you’re an idiot for trying this, right?” Followed by “ok then, here’s how we can get there.”

My runs automatically upload to my Garmin, ready in the morning when I am. I have a 255, and I have not had a problem with data loading either way.

The app seems to evolve and improve daily. Its creators are serious runners, and the app feels like they made it for themselves and were gracious enough to share it. They welcome suggestions, couldn’t be nicer, and are quick to make improvements and fix bugs.

Thank you, this made our day, truly. Ultramarathon and back-to-back-to-back week planning is a tough problem to get right, so hearing it's working well for your training and that the Garmin sync has been solid means a lot. It's been a real pleasure getting to know you through your feedback and suggestions along the way, you've helped shape this app in ways you probably don't even realize. We're genuinely grateful to have someone like you on the platform. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Good luck out there, and keep us posted!

Invaluable tool!!!

I’m new to running, and proper training for events is still a bit of a mystery for me. This app was recommended to me, so I decided to give it a shot, and had it create a training plan for an upcoming event. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have been impressed overall.

I like the fact that it seamlessly interfaces with Garmin (and others) to bring in past history to understand your level of performance and then uses that to create a realistic plan for you. It also updates automatically after each activity logged by Garmin, and matches those up with the training plan. It will also dynamically update the training plan based on how the activities went, what your level of fatigue is, and if you simply want to add your own tweaks along the way, which I’ve used several times.

For a brand new app, I’m finding it surprisingly robust and clean. In the few instances where I provided feedback on things I thought could use improvement, they were incredibly responsive and had changes posted either the same day or next day.

Great job guys!

Wow, thank you so much for this review! It genuinely made our day. We put a lot of care into the Garmin integration and the dynamic plan adjustments, so hearing that it's actually working the way we hoped for a new runner means a lot. Also really glad the feedback loop has been working for you. Good luck with your upcoming event. You're going to crush it!

Great potential but broken

The Fit PA program is pretty incredible. I signed up before the iPhone app was available and I use Apple Watch, so I wasn’t able to import my workout data. I got the app as soon as it was available. It worked great at first, and I love all the data, but for the last week it has consistently failed to sync my data from Apple Fitness. The app says that it is connected still, but the sync keeps failing.

Also, there isn’t any really useable Settings menu that I can use to try troubleshooting. The chat hasn’t been able to help with the problem. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. I also tried disconnecting from Apple Fitness and logging out and back in. Nothing worked. Developers: please help and I will give more stars!
