About

Fitch records your runs and rides with GPS, then lets you race the routes you have already done. Your past effort replays on the map as a runner or cyclist, a live gap tells you whether you are ahead or behind, and everything stays in your own private iCloud. No account. No feed. No ads. RECORD RUNS AND RIDES • Start, pause, resume, and finish with one tap. Fitch saves your route, distance, active time, speed, average pace, and splits. • Your route is painted by pace: blue where you were easy, red where you were fast. Running and cycling each use a color scale that fits the sport. • Choose Running or Cycling. Each sport keeps its own totals, history, and best activities. • Keep recording with the screen locked. A workout you started continues in the background, and pausing stops location updates. LIVE ACTIVITY • While you record, your distance, active time, pace and companion gap stay on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Pause from there, or resume to jump straight back in. RACE YOURSELF • Pick any saved route and run or ride it again in the same direction. • A teal runner or cyclist replays your previous effort on the map while a live time gap shows exactly how far ahead or behind you are. • Finish the route to save a personal race result alongside your new activity. YOUR ROUTES AND YOUR HEATMAP • Repeat a route and Fitch matches the efforts automatically: one card per route with your best, latest and average time, a progress chart, and a one-tap race against your best. • A personal heatmap layers every route you have recorded; where you go most shines brightest. All of it is computed on your iPhone. THREE VIRTUAL COMPANIONS Choose a companion in Settings, then tap Add companion during a recording to have someone to chase. • Leo — Easy / Steady: holds the speed you set. • Maya — Medium / Personalized: targets a little above your recent average, built from your own last five real activities in that sport. • Max — Hard / Tactical: starts fast and surges in waves, so you never settle in. Pauses freeze the companion, and you can switch it on later to compare from the start. All three are local pacing algorithms; nothing is sent anywhere. RESULTS AND SPLITS • Kilometre or mile splits, with pace for runs and speed for rides. • Switch between metric (km, km/h, min/km) and imperial (mi, mph, min/mi) at any time. Saved results and route lists convert instantly. • Open any activity on an interactive map, fitted to the full path, including loops. PRIVATE ICLOUD SYNC • Activities are saved on your device and mirrored to your private iCloud database with CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. • The developer cannot see your routes. There is no Fitch account, no social feed, no leaderboard, and no ads. • Saving works offline. Sync catches up when you are back online. BUILT WITH CARE • Pure white screens, refractive glass controls, and animated overhead runners and cyclists. • Reduce Motion is respected throughout, and VoiceOver users get a static introduction with an explicit continue button. The introduction waits for you: swipe or tap through it, or skip it. • A clearly labeled demo run and demo race let you try everything before your first workout. Demos never count toward your real totals. A NOTE ON ACCURACY Fitch only accepts GPS fixes with good horizontal accuracy, filters stationary noise, and breaks the route line during pauses and signal gaps instead of inventing distance. Distances, paces, and companion gaps are GPS estimates and are not certified race timing. WHAT FITCH DOES NOT DO No subscription. No login. No ads. No tracking.

What's New in Fitch

1.1

October 15, 2026

Fitch 1.1 adds two ways to see your progress. • Your routes: repeat a route and Fitch groups the efforts automatically, with your best, latest and average time, a progress chart, and a one-tap race against your best. • Your heatmap: every route you have recorded, layered on one map. Brighter where you go most. Both are computed on your iPhone; nothing leaves your device.
