Fitness Culture Training

Fitness Culture’s programming is world class! Several tracks available to help you train for any strength and conditioning goal. I am currently doing the onboard program for the everyday athlete challenge and love the full body splits. Steve and Jake are phenomenal coaches and continuously put out amazing content on their YouTube channel. I have been following the programming off and on for several years. Being in the military makes it hard to follow any program consistently, but when I’m able to train there is no other program I trust more to help me achieve my goals.

Highly Recommend

Been using for 3-4 years now. Love the different programs that you can choose that and the progressive overload that it helps recommend to help you reach your goals.

Ga solid 4.5/5

I have been a regular lifter/athlete for around 15 years, and this is the best program/app I have found to date. Tips and training videos for every movement, substitute exercises, program design, and app design/ facebook support are all wonderful. This is likely the closest you will get to professional personal training for a fraction of the cost (50/month vs 100/session)

That being said, the only minor critiques/suggestions I have are:

1. Occasionally training blocks seem to conflict. For example, a shoulder-heavy IWT/burnout circuit at the end of a leg day, then a shoulder/push day the very next day. Im guessing its just the programming pulling the circuit block from a bank without considering the secondary muscles, as this seems to go against their usual 48+hr rest periods per muscle group.

2. Some days in certain programs prescribe more weight than seems correct/safe. For example, pushing near 90% of max for 3 sets of 12 reps, even in rest-pause (6, rest 20s, 4, rest, 2) seems like an injury waiting to happen. I’m not the expert, and am not trying to discredit/invalidate the training (I absolutely love Steve and Jake), but non-profesional/full-natural/non-“enhanced” athletes may want to err on the safe side for these programs.

3. When selecting 60 or 30 minute option, it seems to just remove the last 1 or 2 chronological blocks for a training day, but sometimes it seems like it should be flipped. Example: if leg day goes: primary-secondary-ancillary-core/circuit, the core work or circuit would be left off the 60 minute version, when it seems like the ancillary leg stuff should be dropped instead (otherwise you miss out on core work entirely). Not sure if designed on purpose, and of course you can intuitively do what you want, but maybe it wasn't meant to be that way.

4. Stretching is not included/mentioned. They have mobility blocks each day that rotate, but these don’t always include the muscles you worked that day, and are not a real substitute for actual stretching. Example: chest day may have a back/shoulder focused mobility block. This isn't really an issue if realize it, but some may mistake the mobility routines for actual “stretching”.

Otherwise, it is a great app that I highly recommend and training and recommend trying a few months/programs for yourself.

Lean program

If you have aspirations to get back in shape Steve cook has the best app and program out there!!

Best Fitness App

Best fitness app out there! I’ve been using it consistently for five years. Amazing!

Programming

By far the best program I have ever payed for!

Nothing comes close! Invest your money into something that will not only cause you to be pain free but be an functional athlete in any scenario!

Best fitness app

I have tried several fitness apps and programs. This is hands down the most complete and well done fitness app I have used. The app itself is very easy to navigate and the videos really nail down the proper form to help maximize results and reduce likelihood of injury. The variety of programs is amazing. Worth every penny.

Question/Feedback

Will there be an update to bring dark mode?

It would be helpful if once the rest timer finishes, it dings so you know and goes back to the workout page so we don’t have to swipe.

Loving it!

The app and workouts are great! It helped me know how to do the work outs and with my diet. I really like the auto meal plan because it’s easy to use and the meals are tasty!

Amazing!!

I've been using Fitness Culture for like 3 or 4 years, and I've loved it! I've been on the Power Program the majority of the time. The programming has increased my 3 lift total by like 200 lbs, and helped me stay well conditioned for playing hockey! I really love the micro- and macro- cycling of the programming. It keeps things interesting but still stays focused on the goal of increasing strength. I had been lifting for awhile before I started Fitness Culture, but my wife was quite new to lifting when she started the Lean Program. The coaching descriptions and videos were perfect to help her get started and really enjoy lifting! I thought it was a little overpriced at first, especially since there are so many free programs out there; however, after using it for years it is easily worth every penny! I would strongly recommend it to anyone!

Excellent plans and support

I’ve followed fitness culture for a long time and love their plans and the level of support given. The app has definitely improved since the first time I used it, the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is think you should be able to add optional rest or recovery days, especially on the functional athlete program. If your doing martial arts like me or say another sport and you’re using the plan along side it there are days you’re a bit beat up and want to move the days around to suit recovery

Whilst it just logs it as a day missed you you try to go back a day you are then behind

Fit Culture App

This is app is super easy to use and makes going to the gym easy. Just choose a program and it will take care of the rest.

Supers programmes

Application très bien construite et qualité des programmes largement au dessus de la concurrence (ce qui justifie le prix de la formule à 55€ selon moi).

Game changer

I’ve struggled for years to find a decent training app/workout program most have lead me to just go though the motions in the gym… fitness culture has changed that for me as it’s so easy to follow and with that you see fast results! I’d recommend anyone to use it.

All my goals and more, achieved

Been a part of the Fitness Culture family long enough to know that this is an incredibly effective way for me to make fitness easy. And if it’s easy, then I’m consistent. Consistency = habits and all of the above lead to success. With programming that is incredibly easy to show up and follow, they are continually asking for feedback and improvements. Who else cares that much?

Achieved first, second and third goals with Fitness Culture, and I couldn’t have done it without them.

It’s Great but…

App and workouts are great but tweaks are definitely needed on the app. The time for the workout resets to 90 each time the app is opened. I usually do 60 min and forget to change it all the time. I didn’t close the app but had to go into another app and when I switched back it reset all my progress on the days workout I had entered. It should auto save, I shouldn’t have to hit the save button at the top right every time to be safe. The number keypad should only appear and not the full keyboard when entering weight and reps. I also think the rest timer should either appear on the workout group you’re doing or if you’re on set 1 go to rest timer the next screen should go back to set 2. I have gone back once and my progress was gone. For the price we pay, I definitely think the app should be improved upon. Also - when is dark mode coming??

Thanks - keep up the great work!

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! 😀 We're thrilled to hear that you love the workouts. We have a major update coming soon that will fix the 30/60/90 reset and keypad issues you mentioned. We truly value your input and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.

Every “transformation challenge” feels like a cash grab

$50-$100 to enter a challenge, then pay the same monthly to keep the subscription.
Considering the “over 30,000” people that have entered these challenges, $1.5 million+ in revenue is nothing compared to a 20k prize pool. Take a risk, take $20k out of pocket and make it free to the people learning to transform their bodies and help them get there before asking them for money. Don’t make it a cash grab up front and then expect that the users peace out after the challenge is over. Jab jab jab, right hook. Read GaryVee.

Holistic approach to fitness

Solid fitness app and very comprehensive. The programs take the guessing out and make it easier for me to be effective when my limited time at the gym. The Mobility section is my favorite part and has helped me tremendously to improve overall and stay injury free. Instructional videos are helpful and when I showed the app to a personal trainer once, they were super impressed. Given all you get and how much PT costs generally, it’s a great bang for your buck. Highly recommend. They also throw out the occasional discount on pricing like 50% off if you subscribe to their mailing list.

Worth the Price!!

This app is a game changer. The way it tells you what weight to use for heavy compound lifts based on your max is ideal for strength progressions. I look forward to every workout and training split.

Great App and Program

Been a member for about a year and a half now and have seen some really great results! Programs are some what flexible based on commitment and time! App interface is easy to use. Sometimes hard to track what your previous reps were as it doesn’t always save but other than that great app!
