Not working

Was great and was happy to pay for it. Now it’s not working. When u click complete on a set: it deletes the set. There’s a workaround where u just finish the workout the u can move on but looking forward to an update! Then will change

Hard to use

Sometimes it doesn’t let me delete things and it keeps adding random things without my knowledge or without me doing anything. And then since deleting things are so hard, it doesn’t let me delete what it added even if I don’t need it.

So difficult to use

Downloaded this and just can’t work out how to use it. Faffing around wondering what a template is v the other workout option I now can’t remember the name of. Took forever to figure out how to add an exercise after I had eventually managed to create a workout. Search is useless (type ‘bicep’ into the search bar and apparently there are no exercises! There are, but you have to scroll through everything to find them. Can’t be bothered. Deleting. Please consider adding a quick ‘tour’ and improve the search

Know the app to use the app

Basically you have to know how the app functions internally to figure out how to use it initially. It doesn’t make sense, not functional for new users, and complicated to understand/figure out.

New interface is terrible

This used to be such a great app. Simple. Straightforward. Easy to navigate, create workouts, and use. This new interface is terrible! Haaaate how the workout pops up so you see the dashboard homepage whatever in the background. The way sets appear now is different too, and not in a good way. Not sure why they had to change something that wasn’t broken. Deleting the app now.

Overcomplicated

Literally just trying to add a work out. Seems impossible. There’s only 2 work outs and can’t seem to just add a work out?? Way too complicated for something so simple.

Straightforward and great

Effective simple and reasonably intuitive, also a $5 once off if you want all the extra features which is very preferable to all the $40 a year subscriptions of the other big workout apps

How an app is supposed to be

Not only the best tracking app I’ve used, but one of the best apps I have. Simple, functional, and great UI. Happy to pay for it.

Free features became paid

Any time an app I have been using changes its policy to render free features paid, it’s game over for me. You can never trust them not to keep that scale sliding. Time to delete. I actually liked it a lot before this.

Best free tracker!

Super easy to use and helps keep me consistent at the gym. Love being able to start from one of my workout templates and have my latest reps/weights already loaded in there. Makes progressive overload so easy to track!

$$$$

Don’t let the download count deceive you. What made this app good now requires payment. Keep looking.

Honestly the best fitness tracking app

Props to the dev for making such a simple but impactful tracking app. Sure, there are better looking apps on the store that do the same thing but they all eventually try to shovel a yearly subscription down your throat.

Killer simple workout tracker

GOATed workout tracker. Very customizable, no frills, has everything I’d want in my workout tracker. Plus the support is incredible. They responded to a question I had about the settings within literally 10 minutes of me emailing them.

Just what the coach ordered

Simple, small, fast, yet it has everything you need in a workout tracker. Never tries to sell you anything. Love it!

things changed...

i used to love this app because it was so simple and i could do everything i wanted but then it updated and now so many things i used to do without paying are paywalled....
like i can no longer make active workouts (only completed ones) or see when i PR in any exercise which is super annoying. and no i never had a free trail, i could do all these things for the whole year i had used this app and then it was all taken away.
ive loved this app for so long but now im considering switching to another workout app

Latest update bricked the app

The update released at the end of 2025 has made the app unusable. Will not even open.

It was okay- now it’s useless

I have been using FitNotes for over a year- I work out 5 times a week, it worked fine- very simple and had to program in my own exercises, but let me track progress. Now it’s behind a paywall and utterly useless. I have to start again and find a free alternative. Very disappointed.

No export to Apple Health?

The app itself is a decent, flexible workout tracker, though the docs have gaps and some experimentation is required. However it doesn’t appear to export workout data to Apple Health, which is a significant limitation.

App won’t launch

App won’t open—keeps crashing before launching

Doesn’t open on latest iOS

Pretty much all in the title. I have been in apple beta so I have them the benefit of the doubt but it’s not working and that iOS has been rolled out.
