What's New in StrengthLog

9.0

September 14, 2026

Well. We did it again. We’ve moved a lot of things around. Before you close the app forever, hear us out. The goal wasn’t to make you relearn StrengthLog from scratch. The goal was to make it make more sense. Things now live where they always should have lived. Your profile is now home to... well, your stuff (like exercises you create, programs you build, achievements you get, etc.). Statistics has taken custody of all the statistics. Exercises have moved into the Library. And each exercise page has become the one-stop shop for everything related to that exercise. Will your muscle memory hate us for a week? Probably. Will future you thank us? We think so. Here’s what else is new: • The top of your home screen now has a calendar where you can start workouts, plan future workouts, add events, and even backlog workouts you forgot to log. (We won’t judge. Much.) • You can also schedule training programs you follow now. • Cardio statistics have had a major glow-up, including history for your most common running and cycling distances. • We’ve built an entirely new Program Builder. Whether you just want to throw together a quick program or spend three hours optimizing every detail, we’ve got you covered. Choose between the new Simple Builder or the Detailed Builder, and let Smart Blocks do some of the heavy lifting. • You can now add a new type of exercise comment while building a program or during active workouts. These comments only belong to that specific workout, so use them for things like “bench was taken”, “left knee felt weird”, or “this seemed like a good idea at the time.” Your pinned exercise comments aren’t going anywhere—they still carry over every time you use an exercise, making them perfect for machine settings, technique cues, and other permanent reminders. • Your favorite graphs are now customizable. Reorder them, change their colors, and finally make your statistics look as organized as that color-coded training spreadsheet you swore you’d keep updated back in the stone age. • You can now mark programs as favorites, making your best (or least hated) programs easier to find. • The programs and workouts library now has two new filters, Favorites and Following, for quicker access. There are probably another hundred improvements we’ve forgotten to mention. Version 9.0 has been in development for so long that some of these features feel like they’ve always existed. As always, if you find a bug, have feedback, or simply want to tell us we ruined your life by moving a button, send us an email at app@strengthlog.com.

Strength app

This is a very good strength tracking app that has helped me get a lot stronger and more confident in my training and progress! Highly recommend it

Best Lifting App Ever

Super easy to use. You can use free premade workouts or make your own and save them and reuse them. Much of the features are available for free, but also has excellent material with subscription. I love that it keeps track of PRs and total
Weight lifted per set and per total workout. Also runs smoothly on my Apple Watch so I don’t have to be looking at my phone to record reps and weight, easy to do on the watch. Seriously an awesome
App that is excellent even without paying for the subscription.

Great organizational tool!!

This program had allowed me to transition from years of carrying around a piece of paper or clipboard or using my memory to a handheld device. No more writing things down or forgetting what to write down. This software starts with the pre-workout planning, to the gym day recording and the post-workout review.

It excels with the planning piece with many workouts included. These workouts can be modified to fit your preferences and your workout data is stored for use with the planning of your next workout. There are hundreds of exercises to choose from when planning.

It’s free but for a very small fee you can upgrade to some amazing enhancements.

And Sandrine and others are at the ready to answer questions. I couldn’t ask for more. Outstanding program and an outstanding team behind it.
