Don’t get this app

The UI on this app is horrendous. The app doesn’t load your workouts, it just brings up a web browser of whatever program you joined. Then, to close out of each day is so difficult and you have to see your workouts on the calendar rather than a list view of what’s next. Don’t waste your time with anyone who sells their workouts through this app.

Horrible Application

Not user friendly at all, glitches out, my programs never loaded.. do not recommend

App works well - needs larger font and an offline mode

The app is great. My coach and I are able to sync on workouts.

I would give 5 stars when two things happen:

1) create a setting to boost the font to a much larger size. It’s so hard to read my past workout notes

2) an offline mode… some parts of the gym have no wifi and lte/5g also drops, amthen you can’t open the app and see the planned workout. The app should show the days workout even if offline.

Otherwise it’s a good app.

Garbage App

The app was the primary reason I canceled the program. It’s difficult to use—font sizes are too small, the instructional videos are unclear, the training plans are hard to navigate, and tracking weights is frustrating. Honestly, I think even a simple Facebook group could offer a better user experience than this app.

Scam

Instagram page is awesome but the app is horrible. Don’t buy this app

Response from developer

May I please ask for a moment of your time to explain in a little detail why you consider the app horrible. Gratefully, Shaun Head of Sales & Support FITR support@coachwithfitr

Needs a lot of work

This app is constantly glitching and freezing. I usually have to view my workouts on the online version because the app doesn’t behave as it should. Josh Bridges should take his programs to a different app.

Response from developer

The FITR Client App keeps improving significantly and rapidly, becoming increasingly unrecognisable from previous versions. We regret and express our apology that a past iteration did not meet expectations. Shaun Head of Sales & Support FITR support@coachwithfitr

Great workout, horrible app

The app is very hard to navigate especially if I can’t train on the same days as programmed. There is some conflicting information within the workout. For example, It will say to complete B1 before moving on to B2, but then in the instructions it will say to set up 2 barbells to complete each set.

Response from developer

We regret you've found the app hard to navigate. Please contact us via support@coachwithfitr and we will happily assist as well as record and respond to your feedback. It's regrettable a coach's descriptions don't match the features they've used but FITR cannot control what a coach writes via our software.

Fix ur app

Impossible to use! The program I have comes with videos and they simply do not work or load. It makes the actual working out part impossible when ur trying to watch an explanation on something and it won’t even load. And this isn’t a connection issue, I will have full bars and WiFi and still these videos do not load. Please fix this. I paid for a program and the app makes it impossible to follow.

Another useless client side app

Can’t swap exercises. Can’t move days. Have to type an essay for each exercise. History search is useless, doesn’t work so you have to use text search, then you get a massive list of results. No timers. No reports. Essentially a spreadsheet in app form.

WHY DON’T YOU JUST HAVE A WEIGHT AND REP COLUMN THAT YOU CAN ENTER YOUR DATA IN THAT SHOWS UP THE NEXT TIME YOU DO THE SAME EXERCISE?!!!

App clearly not designed by people who actually workout.

Garbage app. This is missing tons of features and is poorly executed.
I can’t see the whole breakdown of a program. I have to go to every single day to see what it contains.

Response from developer

A client can, and often does, have access to multiple concurrent programs on any given day. For this reason a client needs to first select which day and program they wish to view in order to view its content.

Support? We don’t do support.

Poor quality at best. I’ve had issues with my calendar deleting days not being right and not matching up to what the coach has planned. Contacted support for help with. No response multiple times. Pain to navigate. I know good way to track progress.

INCREASE FONT SIZE!!!!!

Seriously, you develop an app for a small screen, and then you choose the tiniest font?!?! Will change rating once I can actually read the content within the app!!!

Paid for high school quality instructionals

Bought a fitness plan from what seemed like a reputable guy. It’s clearly just scrapped together and I’m out 50 bucks now. Very disappointed.

I bought Luke Bartlett’s (Kratophysio on insta) program and it’s a big letdown. The video quality is fuzzy, it doesn’t let you know what equipment you need until you’re already doing the exercise, there’s no suggestions for people with limited mobility… I feel very let down by this.

What was supposed to be a start to my journey in the right direction is being the opposite. I’m upset and don’t know when I’ll get the time and money to start again. This whole thing sucked.

We're very sorry to hear the standard of material has been so poor, written by a coach using our software tools. Any coach is free to deliver their material in the manner they choose, but we understand such frustrations.

Workouts no longer showing

First got the app worked well, now over the past two week none of the workouts that my couch has put up is showing. we have had to resort to sending screenshots through the app. Which makes tracking progress a bit more challenging and essentially make the app redundant.

Buggy

Works well most of the time like any other coaching up but sometimes the app simply doesn’t open. Reset my phone, deleted and redownloaded the app and it still hasn’t worked the times it’s done this and it goes on for hours. Uploading videos also takes forever.

Decent app but needs a few updates

Been using the app a couple of months now with my pt. Mostly works really well but a couple of annoying things that could be improved.
Please add in the option to track in inches and include a decimal place. Also would be good to be able to track left and right, ie left bicep, right bicep etc.
Notifications when a program has been uploaded, ie when your PT has scheduled a workout.
Make the performance notes box bigger and allow the program/workout to notes to be send whilst writing performance notes.
Link comments by your PT to the workout they relate to.

Good but needs some improvement

Since my PT started using fitr it has improved but could still do with some tweaks to make the app more seamless.

Firstly, app notifications of when something has been uploaded would be really beneficial, especially as I can see them on the website so hopefully this could be done quite easily. Also being able to set a reminder for if something is scheduled for the day and you’ve not completed it by a certain time would be a good addition.

Secondly, actually recording your workout is quite frustrating as if you start typing, you then can’t see the details of the programming. Or if swap app or lock your phone whilst taking notes of your workout the text box will close and lose what you’ve typed.
I’ve taken to using another app to record my workouts as I do them and copying and pasting back to fitr, which isn’t ideal but hopefully this is helpful feedback.

Super app

Enjoy to use it.

Bug

I have to close the app after opening a training day to go back as the app doesn't allow me to go backwards after opening up a training day
