Restarting My Fitness

It’s been 4 years since I got out of the Army. Wanted to start working out again, but now I’ve got 3 kids and no time to get to a gym. Also pretty much everything I know about working out is follow what the instructor says to do. I don’t have time for the bandwidth. I got lucky and found someone selling the Apollo travel mini smart fitness board on marketplace for a steep discount. It was unopened. Setup was a breeze and I found a novice workout in the app. Directions were easy to follow with rests between reps. If you don’t know what you are doing the app is great, and if you do know what you are doing the board is easy to configure manually. Tucks underneath my bed and I can unplug for extra peace of mind from my young kids. Very impressed with this machine.

Love the Board-Not the App

The board so far seems fantastic. The app not so much. If you set up a workout, you have to preset the sets and rep counts, which is normal and would be fine, except that as soon as you hit that rep the weight releases so you can’t push further. So I figured I’d just make the reps higher, only problem is, no matter how many you do, it records the preset number. I reached out to support to see if I was just missing an option somewhere to shut that off, but no response. Hopefully I’m wrong and someone can correct me.

Love the board hate the app

The Apollo board it great. Very smooth and well thought out. Can’t say the same for this app. It stops your music when you open it and when you’re paired to the board it stops your music after taking the weight off. Also the exercises are lacking. There’s not a lot to choose from apart from the same exercise in different positions- example bicep curl has 2 separate exercises one for both arms at the same time and one for one arm at a time. It just seems like a cheap way to take up space to make it look like there’s an abundance of exercises to do.Also a feature I would like to see it a primary muscle and secondary muscles on the image of what exercises do what.
