About
Five and Two is a one-year Bible reading plan you follow five days a week instead of seven. The two open days each week are built-in margin: time to catch up, take a break, or study something else, without falling behind.
Most one-year plans break the first time you miss a day, because a missed day turns into a double reading the next day, and the backlog grows from there until you quit. Five and Two carries the slack from the start. Do the five readings each week and you finish the whole Bible in a year with two days to spare every week.
What makes the plan different:
Old and New Testament every day. You read from both from day one, so you are never months away from the Gospels.
Chronological order. Old Testament readings follow the order events actually happened rather than the order the books are printed. Psalms sit near the history they belong to, and books like Jeremiah, which jump between time periods in print, are placed back in sequence.
Full chapters. Every reading starts and ends on a chapter break, so you never stop mid-chapter and pick up a lost thread the next day.
Gospels spread across the year. Reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John back to back means covering the same events four times. This plan distributes them so the life and teaching of Jesus stay in view from beginning to end.
If you fall behind, the app gives you three ways back on track: double up a reading, move your finish date, or skip ahead and keep going.
Five and Two does not contain Bible text. It is the plan, the schedule, and the progress tracking, made to be read alongside your own Bible, in print or in the Bible app you already use.
Read the entire Bible, or just the New Testament, in one year, five days a week.
