Notifications

I got a notification that flags will be half staff tomorrow. I click on the notification and it takes me to the app. There is nothing in the app about tomorrow's status. I think this half staff is a special reason because of an event that happened today, but I need to make that leap because the app doesn't say.

Paid for premium version

Was just checking status for Lindsey graham, and tried to restore my purchase of the premium version, got an error code which equals = wasted money. Thank you.

Great app and one request

Love the app for keeping up with proper flag etiquette. I sure would love it if I could track state flag orders in addition to federal.

FAQ

What does the Flag Day app do?

The Flag Day app provides timely alerts for U.S. flag status changes, such as when to fly the flag at half-staff or full-staff. It also includes a calendar of flag days, historical information, and detailed instructions on flag etiquette, folding, and saluting, referencing the U.S. Flag Code.

How does the app alert me to flag status changes?

You will receive notifications a day before scheduled half-staff or full-staff days. The app also provides alerts for unscheduled half-staff days as soon as they are published by the U.S. President. These alerts are synchronized with the application when you start it.

Is the Flag Day app free to download?

Yes, the Flag Day app can be downloaded for free. However, to unlock its full features and receive alerts, a yearly or monthly subscription is required. There are free trial periods available for both subscription options.

What information is available about specific flag days?

Each flag day listed in the calendar includes historical facts and videos related to that day. When a Presidential Proclamation is issued, it is also added to the app, providing further context and information about the observance.

Does the app cover state-level flag notifications?

Currently, the app focuses on notifications originating from the White House regarding U.S. national flag status. It does not cover specific U.S. state notifications for half-staff days at this point.
