Avoid. Wish we had more options.
The Local Alerts section is ordered by the most recently updated. Not helpful. Let me sort alphabetical or by type (school, business, etc) like it used to be or last modified. Or filter/search - that would be nice. Now it is not useful- must scroll ALL entries to look for the business I’m wanting.
Still wish I could set up alerts for everything. I have 3 places I’m interested in but only 1 has the alert ability.
And refreshing the Local Alerts list makes some entries disappear or then appear later. Not a trustworthy app at all.

Useless
It was once a working app with good information but now it is broken and useless and this new version is even worse! I also have the same issue as another reviewer in that if you try to login the app crashes and it is impossible to even login. This app is complete garbage!
App Not working anymore
The app used to work great. Then suddenly any time you try and login the app crashes. Even if you try to reinstall the app it doesn’t fix. I can’t login to the app.

What actually is updated?
A few times now FlashAlert alerted us to uninstall the app we have in the phone and install the new and improved app. But what is exactly being updated? It’s the same awkward set up of an app. We can only login into the account, and once we are in, we can only look for organizations from where we want to get notifications from. Then we can only get notifications by e-mails. The set up is not what we expect to get from an app. After a long time, we find ourselves not connected to the app anymore and we need to do the process over again.

This app is non-functional
This app does not work; it’s supposed to be an update to an older version, but will not link your existing FlashAlert account. The old app also doesn’t work. Don’t bother; if you have an account, maybe you can create your own notifications via the web interface.
Working again
I would like to retract the reviews I had originally made. This app is up and running again, perhaps even better than before.
Was working but now isn’t
Was working great after the non-functional app. Since then I’ve not been able to see any news or updates, and clicking on update my subscriptions brings up an error page. Currently useless again, unfortunately, as I rely on this for closures in several school districts.
Wow it actually works
I randomly went in to check about any updates for the broken app we’ve all been complaining about for months and getting no information from the developers and discovered there was another new version though it hasn’t been communicated with anyone? So far this one seems to work just fine, so yay? But why is the broken one still available for download and why has nothing been communicated to people to come download this one?

This App is very helpful at finding out local information regarding organization status during inclement weather and other possible problems.
