Old app was better, less features with the revamp
I have used Cram for a long time, it was a great study tool. I could build a list, randomize it, study it, mark it correct/wrong, and keep revisiting wrong ones until I got it right. That was such a wonderful feature. This relaunch of the app is so bare bones, it removed the most helpful part. While this still beats creating handheld flash cards, this new version of the app doesn’t offer much. I would have gladly paid for the old app if it had continued to work.

Problem in memris review
Before the update, it was possible to review in a memorized/spaced way, and you could resume reviewing from where you had left off in the flashcards.
But now this feature no longer exists, and every time it starts the words from the beginning for review.

Cram no longer syncing
I used to love this app, but it has recently been updated so you can no longer sync with the flash cards you make on your PC.
Amazing until they broke it
This used to be the perfect flashcard app, I was recommending it to everyone. But since the latest update it doesn’t sync with devices any more so is next to useless, such a shame.
Disgusted
I am so disgusted with the makers of this app. It was perfect. It was simple. I’d created thousands of flashcards. It synced perfectly with my phone. Then a week ago, they updated it and everything is ruined. The user interface now sucks. Nothing syncs with mobile anymore. I have an exam next week and I’m screwed because of this horrible app. I will never use this again. They didn’t even provide notice that this would happen. I hope this company goes under. Thanks for nothing.

Great but
Good app, but it’s annoying that the cram mode resets when you don’t use the app for more than a day. I’m trying to study a set of 400 cards, but when I take a day off the mode resets and I have to restart.
Not Good for iPad
works great on an iPhone,..not so much on an iPad. Unlike the iPhone version, the iPad version does not allow for flipping flash cards, you get the question and the answer on the same card. There is a drop down menu for for “memorize”, “cram” etc etc…..however the buttons to start the different modes do not work.

Great and easy to use. Thus far no random ads. It doesn’t crash. Awesome.
Best app for flash cards
This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s light weight, useful, and just works. It’s best to create your flashcards on their website and utilize this app afterwards. The only feedback I have for the devs is to somehow work in signing in through a google account.
Love the desktop version, can’t use the app
I log into Cram online using my Google account, but the app doesn’t have that as an option! I don’t want to have to completely recreate my account with a u/n and p/w. Please add Google login as an option!!!

In a world of subscription cages, cram offers a good and reliable and ACCESSIBLE flash card building service from our phones that gets the job done! If I didn’t find this app I probably never would have studied because I would have been paralyzed trying to find a way to make flash cards on my phone so I can study whenever without 60 pieces of paper following me around haunting me. THANK YOU CRAM YOU ARE MY HEROES!

Writing in October 2025, this app hasn’t been updated in over 6 years and it shows.
Great learning tool
I have been using this for years. Very intuitive and friendly. Have tried others but none compare. My kids used this right through school. I have published MEga educational courses and refer to many Cram tests for online use.

What happened to Cram?
I used to love Cram! I recommended it all the time and I’ve used it for years! I love the games for studying, it was easy and fun. Now it glitches all the time. The ads are annoying and unbearable. Why is there not an option to pay for no ads? Why does the game no longer work? Why does no one respond when I emailed? I would pay for this app if the features worked. I miss the old app.
