User reviews

Easy and intuitive

Very glad I got this app. Works seamlessly with Bill Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek. Really like that you can hear the words pronounced along with seeing them.

Very helpful and could be better

This app really proved to be helpful for me in my seminary courses. The fact that I could specify word type and combine certain lessons together was awesome.

A few suggestions to make it better:
1. For nouns, take the article out of the card. Most seminary professors require you memorize the gender of the noun so having that on the answer side will allow the user to quiz themselves on that portion of it as well

2. The photo/pneumonic device function is good but it should be limited to the answer side

3. The app should allow me to “flag” certain words that are uniquely challenging for me so that I can craft a set based out of those in particular.

PLEASE ADD A BACK BUTTON

Hey guys, great app. I love practicing the core 320 words with ya’ll. Absolutely worth the investment. But please add a back button in the flash card sequence, so I can repeat difficult to pronounce words. Grateful!

What features does the app offer?

The app includes multimedia flashcards with images/mnemonics, audio pronunciation (Erasmian), and contextual examples for all forms. Users can tailor quizzes to their needs or study in slideshow mode. The flashcards are keyed to the chapters of Mounce's textbook.

Is this app a direct companion to Mounce's textbook?

While the app is designed to be compatible with William Mounce's "Basics of Biblical Greek" textbook, it is not an official companion app. The developer is not associated with the publisher or author. Users are encouraged to check the flashcards against their textbook for accuracy.

What is the difference between FlashGreek: Mounce Edition and FlashGreek Pro?

FlashGreek: Mounce Edition is recommended for those in their first year of Greek study.
