What's New in Flick

1.0.304

July 21, 2026

- jump to any season or episode from a show's nav pill, and log a title on the day it aired - filter and sort your watched lists by how long a title runs - release radar and your schedule now share one filter row, with a watchlist filter - a whole-show review now completes the show, and you can resume a parked one - scrub a score by holding and dragging instead of tapping one at a time - typing a year in search finds that year's title — "obsession 2023" gets it - plus small fixes throughout

User reviews

This app changes the game!

They are really up to something with this app. Every time I check it it just gets better — love to use it to find what to watch, remember what I have watched, and see what my friends are watching. Letterboxd but so much better

Better than other apps

This is my favorite app to find new movies and just keep track of all the ones I have watched. I prefer Flick to anything else. It’s cleaner and easier to use. Great UI and concept of rating movies off of other movies you have previously rated.

Social as their focus, spoilers allowed unless you pay

The Letterboxd killer that aims to have the social aspect be the primary driver is gatekeeping preventing spoilers unless you pay them.

So the idea is to interact with people but at the same time be afraid to see reviews if you don’t give flick money? I have seen the journey but something that is established in your competitor that hurts your selling point feels like a pay to win situation

bad UX

i was excited about this app considering the letterboxd one is a pain to use. but now i can't access it because it forces me to create an account?? let your users choose how to use your app!

Disappearing app data

I have installed flick for the first time today and purchased Gold. I then spent over two hours finding and rating almost every show I’ve seen. I ended up rating around 100 shows. My data for my ratings of shows then disappeared only a couple seconds later. I’ve done everything Google has said to do to bring them back to normal avail. I feel like I have been scammed. I had high hopes and extreme excitement for this app. I just ended up wasting money and time. I’m severely disappointed

Response from developer

Really sorry for the rough first experience, and thank you for giving Flick a try. This sounds like a sync/display glitch, and we can get them to show up again since they should be somewhere on our servers. Please reach out via Settings → Contact Us (or email flickappco@gmail.com) so we can restore your ~100 ratings and make sure your Gold is sorted. We'd for this to be our only Flick experience, we are a small team and definitely want to make this right!

FAQ

What does Flick do?

Flick is a modern application designed for rating and reviewing movies and TV shows. It allows users to create richer, more visual reviews, engage in discussions with other users, and receive personalized recommendations based on their viewing history.

How can I rate movies and shows on Flick?

Flick offers a fun and visual 'this or that' rating system that makes rating quick and addictive. The more you rate, the smarter the app's recommendations become. You can also attach stills, clips, or GIFs to your reviews to express your thoughts more vividly.

Can I import my existing watch history?

Yes, Flick allows you to import your entire Letterboxd history in seconds. This ensures all your past ratings and reviews are brought over, so you can start using Flick without losing your progress.

Is Flick free to use?

The application is free to download and use, offering core features for rating and reviewing. There are in-app purchases available, which likely unlock additional features or customization options for users who want to enhance their experience.

What makes Flick different from other movie apps?

Flick distinguishes itself with its emphasis on visual reviews, allowing users to incorporate media like stills and clips. It also fosters genuine conversation through its comment system and aims to be a central hub for all your movie and TV show tracking needs, unlike apps that require juggling multiple platforms.
