My prototypes keep disappearing!

Shame, such potential. Let see if the developers reply to this. I’ve got a feeling this app is no longer supported...

Doesn’t Work

Mac program never finds that I have the app installed...

Works as advertised

Flinto is pretty great.

Allows you to create prototypes that look and feel like real apps. The viewer is an essential part of that.

I’ve fooled a few people into thinking that what I was showing was live.

There’s not much to it, you basically airdrop the proto from your Mac and it gets added to your list in app. 3 tap gesture allows you to exit the proto and most other touch gestures (ie. swiping) are supported in the prototypes.

While the viewer is perfect - I really wish flinto would fix the bug on desktop with layers of the same name getting mixed up in animations.

Urgent improvements needed

Flinto is a great app and this iOS companion does the job. But we need to be able to control the sort order and to rename files. In these regards, this app lags behind the competition.

So how do I exit a project to the menu?

When I’m viewing one prototype, how do I close it, come back to the menu, and open another prototype? We don’t just have one project to test, right?

My first impression

I could not find how to go back to the library/main page once you open any designs.

No video or audio support?!

Why?!

No Viewer for iPhoneX

I’d like to view these prototypes on all available devices, right now, the iPhone X is missing

Last update broke something

Can’t get the prototypes to open in the viewer. Airdropped them instead and even then, they won’t open from the list on my phone. Super frustrating given that I have to give a prototype demo in an hour!

Still buggy

I created few prototypes for mobile app experience using Flinto. While they worked fine on the desktop, the animation and transition weren't great using this app. Very jerky.

Works well but the app is lacking

The platform and the concepts work well but the iOS app is just lacking in basic controls such as renaming, reordering, etc.

A Bug Ridden mess

This app has so much potential, unfortunately it will never be realised in its current state.

It's a bug ridden mess.

1. Previously loaded previous no longer load

2. Animations jerk and lack the smoothness required to make it a pleasure to use

3. Scrolling feels absolutely awful

I could go on.

What a shame.

I wish I could open a prototype from dropbox on my phone

I wish I could open a prototype from dropbox on my phone. Other than that. Cool.

Can't Use the app

Can't open a Flinto file in the app. I've tried google drive, Dropbox, email, iCloud, open in, open with. I've tried rebooting the phone. I've uninstalled and installed the app multiple times. Nothing seems to work.

Finally

I've tried more prototyping software than I care to admit. I've found them to be overly technical for a designer who doesn't code, or overly simplified. Flinto hits the sweet spot between simplicity and control over transitions. I have Flinto for Mac and just wish you could share prototypes without having to make the recipient download the app.

Flinto is great! Here is where it can improve for me.

I love this app and the software. It's been very helpful for me in my work designing user interface. One thing I had an issue with is sharing Flinto files through iMessage/text. They won't open from there, however they will out of email.

All in all the app is awesome and works very well with Sketch. I noticed one other thing.

When I send an updated sketch file, the tap links I created get sent behind the updated assets in the document. I can work around that, but it would be awesome if it live updates or if there is a cleaner transition for updated sketch files.

Great work!!!

Do it.

Fantastic software, but missed the mark

The one thing that was a deal breaker for me was that in order to view/share prototypes, you must download the iPhone app. Unfortunately, it's not realistic to expect clients to download a program in order to view a simple prototype on their personal devices. The flinto web version makes it extremely easy to share pro types and even has a custom app icon, which is a huge plus for clients. I think this one missing feature of ease is gonna be a huge problem with this app which may have otherwise been a game changer.

Overall, the desktop software and it's iOS component are very thorough apps. If anything, the program is too complex compared to the very simple and low-feature web version. As a designer, I downloaded the app intending to be able to jump right in and start prototyping without needing to watch 20 tutorial videos. This does not seem like the app for a busy designer to use; However, for someone who's full time job is to prototype, this is great! That said, I will be sticking to the web version of flinto.
