Constantly putting me in the wrong direction. Still driving by flock cameras. Doesn’t save places you’ve put in to go to.

Needs more recognition 🙌

This is a great app it’s for the people and shows everyone where the cameras are hiding and they are tracking us it is good to know where they are at at all times and to let the people decide if they want to be tracked or not I hope this app gets more recognition it is an awesome app and has a really amazing gps system built into it. And it can also have u avoid the cameras even while driving to the same place as u would usually drive past them. God bless everyone and this app is amazing.

Great App for Surveying

Love the aspect of the app, and privacy. I would LOVE to have it on Carplay, if that’s at all possible

Excellent

This works so much better than the two other apps that I’d tried before this one, yet it uses some of the same, solid and familiar source data. The usability is great and the private routes are effective without becoming extra avoidant, therefore inefficient. I’m a happy new user and supporter. ✊

What an idea

Man, so happy somebody also had this idea and made the app already. 10/10 usability. Suggestion: add CarPlay as a paid feature, and remember recent destinations/favorites automatically

Doesn’t work

Routing issues. Leads me through Flock Cameras every time even when on privacy mode.

Hey Mason, Could you reach out and provide more details about your experience? I have not heard any reports of this happening in the 1 month since app launch. If the cameras are not mapped on OpenStreetMap, they can not be avoided. Once cameras are mapped, the routing engine will avoid them within 24 hours. Thanks! Jack flockhopper@openroadlabs.org

App is great just needs CarPlay capabilities for easy use in vehicle

Good idea room for improvement

App is very cool concept. Easy to use and respects privacy. But crashes a lot and only offers one route and the directions don’t prompt timely enough for you to make turns safely. so it’s best to use to plan your route. It’s not fully functional as a gps just yet.

Feel free to email me at flockhopper@openroadlabs.org. The delay in GPS location is an issue I'm actively working on, I'm hoping to roll out an improvement within a couple of weeks.

privacy is for the people

heck yeah. awesome app. truly doing a service to the public. PLEASE add real time traffic alerts and the ability to add when cops are ahead like you can on google. that and the ability to change voices. i need my British lady. if you can do those 2 things, this app would be absolutely perfect.

Not Flock Cameras

They are marking any and all LPR units regardless of if they are actually Flock or not. I imagine they don’t care because more red dots probably gets them more green paper

Hello, Thank you for the feedback. Apologies for not making the brands of ALPRs clear, I can see how the app name "FlockHopper" might imply that all nodes on the map are flock. The app includes all alprs mapped on OpenStreetMap. There is an update coming soon where you can see the details of each camera. In response to your "green paper" comment - I'm a solo dev who has spent months developing this FREE app. I encourage donations but I'm actually in the red... infrastructure costs exceed donations. -Jack

I was pulled over for having an expired tag by a few days because the stupid tag camera caught me. This app is awesome no more tracking of my vehicle when I go somewhere.

Fantastic GPS

Obviously I downloaded it for the anti-Flock aspect but it’s also probably the best OSM-based GPS app I’ve used. Excited to see the development progress more.

Simple enough but gets the job done

I’ve yet to see a mobile app for Flock Cameras near me, everything is web app based which is nice but not really convenient at times. This app has a nice UI and it’s simple enough to understand. I can now plan my routes around these cameras so i avoid being in the flock system. This app was widely needed as Law Enforcement has an extremely low bar that’s needed to access Flock’s records for “investigations”. I would recommend this to anyone.
