Great app
I just started to learn piano as a complete beginner a few days ago my dad told me to use this app I didn’t think I would like it since I thought simply piano would be better when I tried simply piano it was terrible :( then I tried flowkey because my dad recommended it it is much better than simply piano and great for complete beginners like me it cost me about 100$ while the simply piano app would have costed 250$ I highly recommend flowkey for beginners and it just a great app all round if you get flowkey I hope you enjoy it :)

Watch out for scammy “promotions”
Just a quick heads up. I have been getting back into piano (played a bit while doing a jazz guitar major at Uni) and wanted a fun way to build some repertoire . Flowkey recently had a %65 discount happening, which they had sent me several emails about.
I figured why not and it started my 7 day free trial. Anyway it turns out it did not give me the discount at all which I luckily noticed before the seven days were up. I did not however notice this before the discount promotion ended.
So I contacted them and despite being able to see I signed up for premium during the special, which they had sent me linked to my free account (that’s how they got my email) they would not give me the discount. That’s fine, there’s other apps I can use and really Flowkey was more for fun than anything else but I do find the business practice a bit odd. Sending promotion emails through emails linked to accounts and not having the offer loaded is a strange choice.
It comes across a but scammy tbh. Given the app being installed makes their website link me back or the app in my phone and the discount seeming to need to have been done through the website and not the app, it seems I would need to specifically log in on a desktop to utilize the promotion.
I also don’t get why they would shed my business elsewhere and not honour the discount since they can see i signed up for premium during it and especially since it basically free money, as I’m just another used on their app so there’s no real cost per se.
What could have been me using, supporting and telling those around me about a fun piano app now has me wary of their business practices and not sure if I’ll bother with them if another sale comes around.
There’s just so many great apps and resources these days it strikes me as strange to turn away business you already essentially have but a lack of coordination on their end integrating their marketing with their actual app set me up to spend significantly more than what they had promised my through their marketing.
Anyway! Just letting people know to double check when signing up through apps as I found out, while figuring out what happened, that this “mistake” is known to happened across some other platforms too. Honestly I think they could easily fix it but benefit too much from those who don’t notice in time, so there’s no real incentive since they can just blame the app, despite them being responsible for it’s implementation. Comes across as a bait and switch frankly.
Alan if you’re a beginner there are MUCH BETTER apps to learn on, flowkey is ok for soem repertoire but even then it doesn’t really have anything special and the song selection is prettt weak overall. Ive read many reviews since about how they’ll Jsut remove pieces without warning leaving users stranded halfway through learning a piece.

Disappointing 10/9/26 Ronnie
Have had this app for three years and love it, but this is the second time they have taken lots of song off, I have counted 49 on my app today that I only have 17 days to play, not good when you have practiced some pieces for years, for them to just go.
make it falling notes pls other that that no complaints
falling notes like yousician pls pls PLS PLS
Great learning needs some refinement
I’m new to keyboard and jet Flowkey has got me started right out of the blocks. The teaching methods are really working well. The only problem I find is that the software doesn’t dumb the music and the video correctly all of the time which leads to me getting the rhythm right but the software not recognising it.
