What's New in Flowlog

2.1.1

August 30, 2026

SETTLING UP - no more chasing • A settlement no longer waits forever for the other person. Flowlog nudges them, warns a day ahead, and confirms it after a week if nobody says otherwise. Set 3, 7 or 14 days per ledger, or turn it off and keep confirming by hand. • The receiver can always stop it. "I haven't received it" pauses the countdown and tells the payer - nothing else changes, and confirming still works the moment the money turns up. • Marking a settlement and writing it into your own books is now one action: tap, pick the account, done. • A settlement written into your books carries a category breakdown - the amount is split across the ledger categories behind it, so it lands where it belongs in your budget and your analysis instead of as one lump. SHARED LEDGERS • Pay for one shared entry from several of your own cards, the same way you can for an ordinary purchase. • Recording in a currency other than the ledger's: type the ledger amount and the entry amount follows the rate, or the other way round. Both stay editable, and nothing is guessed for you. • Money someone owes you can be collected into an account in a different currency - you type what actually landed, not our idea of the rate. • Water, electricity and internet are three separate categories now. Entries already filed under the old combined one still read the way you recorded them. • Splitting is offered even when only one other person is on the entry - fronting the whole bill for one friend is exactly the case that needs it. • The settle-up page lists every earlier period rolled into this one, each with a button to jump straight to it. • Ledger totals now show up with no connection. PLANS AND RECURRING BILLS • A shared ledger entry can tick off a planned item, or one period of a recurring bill. Your flatmate paid the internet this month - that period is done, and the ledger keeps tracking the money side. • Planned items and recurring rules can carry the people and the merchant, not just the amount and the category. • Fixed: "Record it now" on a recurring rule settles the period that is actually due, "Skip this period" skips the right one, and editing a rule no longer rewinds its schedule. BUDGET • A one-off top-up on a category can now raise your overall budget by the same amount - new money - or leave the total where it is, taking the room out of everything else. • Rollover has two settings: carry only what last period left over, or keep accumulating the way it did before. SIGNED IN WITH APPLE AND HID YOUR EMAIL? • An invitation sent to your real address can now be linked to your account in one tap, and it lands in the right place from then on. Settings lists every linked address, and you can unlink any of them. WHEN SOMETHING IS DOWN • No connection and a service problem now behave identically: one full-screen notice you can collapse into a slim banner, and open back up whenever you want. ALSO • Suggestions while recording pick up a new habit after a few days instead of waiting for weeks of history. • Tags you never gave a colour are visible again in light mode. • Many fixes across editing entries, categories, pickers and account displays.

Love the simple layout and the payout breakdowns are super clear. Definitely makes life easier if you’re juggling different gigs!

Very user-friendly, export feature needed

Love the intuitive design and how easy it is to track transactions. However, it really needs an export function to download reports as CSV or PDF files. Hope the developers can add this essential feature soon.
