Hervorragender Ansatz
Diese App bietet schnellen Überblick über die Wetterlage. Im Abo kann man dazu aus verschiedenen Modellen auswählen. Das System, mit dem Finger durch auf/ab oder links/rechts swipen langsam oder schnell durch die Zeit zu wandern, ist genial. So sieht man Wetterumschwünge schon in der Entwicklung und kann die grundlegende Wetterlage gut abschätzen. Durch Hereinzoomen sind diese Entwicklungen auch punktgenau untersuchbar. In der Basisversion kann man schon mit GFS, ECMWF oder dem kanadischen Modell ganz brauchbar arbeiten. Besser wirds im Abo u.a. mit Icon D2 oder Arome. Der Entwickler arbeitet ständig an Verbesserungen und er antwortet schnell und zuverlässig. Tolle Leistung!
Update Mai 2026: Inzwischen nutze ich fast nur noch diese App. In Norddeutschland kann ich neben Icon auch Arome und inzwischen auch das 2km-Modell des niederländischen KNMI verwenden. Exzellent! Und bei Aufenthalten in Griechenland und auf Zypern war bislang auch das Icon EU-Modell meist sehr geeignet. Dieser grafische Ansatz in Verbindung mit vielen fantastischen Details (man kann z.B. die grafische Skalierung vieler Elemente feinsteuern, also z.B. Temperaturen nur in 5 Grad-Schritten statt stufenlos oder jede beliebige andere Kombination) ist nicht nur einzigartig, sondern auch in Verbindung mit Werbe- und Trackingfreiheit unfassbar nutzerfreundlich. Die anderen bunten grafischen Anbieter mit ihren regelrecht überladenen Anzeigen, die mehr verdecken als aufklären, lasse ich inzwischen links liegen. Danke, Duane!

At the bottom right touch the circle cross, uncheck all data except Humidity, check Save, with two fingers pan to the Pacific ocean, widen fingers to zoom out, place your thumb lightly on the left side of the screen, slowly slide it to the right...

Truly a great app - you can tell the developper is doing this not for $ but because they care before anything about functionnality. Great for people who want to know (and see) weather (and weather systems) and forecasts at a glance.

Accession to the rarefied atmosphere of astounding weather apps
Finally, another discovery for me - one of those rare, highly capable weather-data processing and presenting apps. ‘Cause that’s exactly what they’re doing. Similar to (though not quite as amazing as) the data accumulation and presentation of Earth.Nullschool on the web, all of these applications use current and forecast-model data from around the world to put together a weather forecast for you, which is not the normal pre-digested junk available on every corner. Why would you need an app to pull in kindergarten stuff like that? Like Windy.app, this is what weather data nerds really want. But don’t be put off. You don’t have to be a mathematical wizard with atmospheric thermodynamics to use these apps. They elegantly bridge the gap between high-end weather + climatological data and the weather forecast needs of regular people like us. I’ve just started examining this one as it’s new for me, but it’s interactive functionality and presentation of model output from national systems puts it in the absolute elite of weather forecast applications. With the capability that this tiny group of applications offer, they are well worth paying for. This one in particular seems very low priced, especially given its truly inspired user interface. I

Best all around weather app
Incredibly detailed weather app with thoughtful and effective data visualization. I found this app when I was an android user and happy to see it on iOS now - looking forward to the widget release, that was one of my favorite features on android.

I was a long time user on the android app for years. Been patiently waiting for this port since I switched to Apple. Took an atmospheres class in college and this app has kept my love for weather alive! Love all the customizable features.

Great app. I use it on my personal phone (android) for a couple of years already. Now, I started using it on my company phone. Finally available on IOS. I wish there were other subscription options like in the android environment. I will stay with the free version for the moment.
