This app has AI and it constantly keeps up with my new expenses. It’s really simple and really cool. It’s literally tied into my checking account. I make sure to use my debit card for all expenses. You can upload your receipts also and attached them to every single expense. It cannot connect to your Cash app, and things of that nature because those entities are not a banking institution so remember that though. I actually uploaded a receipt. I had a question about it and it was a deduction and the CPA answers within 24 hours. This app saved me money.

Overall, the app experience has been pretty great. It made categorizing expenses, really smooth and easy, especially with the way that it was able to intelligently group my expenses together so that I could bulk categorize the CPA that I was working with was excellent. The cost was better than what I have had to deal with in past years so no major complaints there.
I could’ve used more clarity around the fact that the standard paid account does not include partnership type LLCs. It’s not that it was hidden information. It just wasn’t extremely obvious and so I ended up getting hit by an extra expense that I wasn’t expecting.
But overall, I think my biggest complaint is with the UX and the way that it makes it difficult to navigate to which documents you have or haven’t uploaded which expenses have or haven’t been submitted. It’s tough to find my way around, and I found myself largely dependent on the messaging system with the CPA to help me locate the correct places in the app to do the work that needed to be done.

Just what we needed
I’ve struggled to get taxes filed on time for two decades, inundated with W2’s, 1099s, piles of receipts, and dealing with tax preparers who have made costly mistakes in my returns. Time to file taxes, app won’t load
It’s time to file taxes, but the app won’t load the page after clicking on the button to start filing taxes. Tried on 2 different devices. No real way to get in touch to get it fixed. Kind of a waist of $200. :/

When my accountant raised his rate to $900 this year I knew it was time to jump ship and look for an alternative. Easiest way to do taxes
I have my own business and usually have a hard time keeping track of all of my expenses and deductions. This app makes it so easy to track my income, deductions, and anything else relating to my taxes as well as photos of my receipts. My CPA Varsha has been amazing at answering any and all questions and has found ways to save me lots of money. I filed jointly this year and was nervous about the change but this app made it so simple. I recommend it to people regularly, whether you have your own business or not. So happy I found this app!

Legit, but…
If your business taxes are simple and straightforward, you’re single, and you don’t need a lot of advisement Flyfin will probably work great for you. But after using them for one season I’m looking for someone else. I don’t trust they really find all available deductions or advise very well. Their recommendations for quarterly payments wasn’t accurate and I felt left in the dark regarding how much and how to pay.
In the end you get what you pay for and it will work for some but we won’t be going back.
