The functionality, ability to customize orders, and keeping up with the rewards rocks my world! You get many more awards than national competitors like Panera Bread.
Push notifications for ads
Otherwise great app marred by push notifications advertising various specials, etc. with no setting to disable them. There are other granular push notification settings.

I certainly did not consent to get told when pie slices are on sale in my push notifications.

App won’t work
Every time it says it will email a link to open my account the new app, the link goes to 404 page not found. I’ve tried probably 20 times. Doesn’t work.

Says must update, no update available
I have mostly been pretty happy with the app. But when I opened it today it said this version will not be usable after Feb 15, 2025, and that I must update it. I clicked the link that took me to the App Store, and it offers no new update. Just the option to Open (the current version). Now that I think of it, not surprised, since different offers (VIP, etc) show up in the app, and the employees seem to have been told nothing about it, and thus are unable to answer questions. So why should I expect logic, accuracy and consistency in the app at this point. Also, existing reviews are about the quality of service at the restaurants. I have an idea: how about reviewing the app itself, when you’re leaving a review in the App Store!?

They have some delicious food. There’s something for everyone. I really like the pork stew. Very filling with a little spice to get the blood flowing.

The frequent flyer app is a convenient way to review the menu, place orders, and share reviews. The rewards are quite valuable too. And you can’t beat Flying Star’s food.

Too many application steps to try to finally get your reward coupon. Should be a lot more simpler!
App won’t let me PAY?!
This app worked great all the way through the pandemic… I’ve made a half dozen orders on it, it takes my payment, food is ready, all good. Now, all of a sudden about a month ago it wouldn’t take my payment. My bank card is not expired. After messing with it for over half an hour, deleting the app from my device and re-download it and re-logging in… I contacted the Zendesk customer support. I got an email two days later that said “we have deleted your card payment. please enter it again”. So I did that. And it still won’t process my order! It lets me get all the way to where I pay, and then it says there’s an error. It doesn’t tell me what the error IS, but clearly has something to do with payment. So I went and reentered my card AGAIN, thwn the app says re-enter your card to authenticate payment”
I triple check, all the information is correct, but it still won’t take my payment. so I had to call the restaurant and make the order verbally.
What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t work and it still doesn’t work after you’ve asked several times for customer support? what’s the point of trying to save labor on their side and use the app to order ahead if it doesn’t work I waste 25 minutes doing that and I still have to call in with my order?!?
