A Real Game Changer
Just did my 2nd radio with the Aurora Design conversion. The first one was done on a 50 year old Becker Europa radio before the app was available. The 2nd radio that was just converted last month was the original Blaupunkt radio on my 1957 Porsche. The best part of the app is that it provides a full equalizer to adjust individual speaker systems for optimal in car audio. I’m thinking of installing an underseat sub-woofer which will really enhance the 4.1 channel 180 watt sound. The app is a game changer !

Bluetooth Disconnecting Issues
Had my radio update with Aurora Design Bluetooth. Had it for about 1 year now. Didn’t have any disconnection issues with my last phone, iPhone 11 Pro. Bought the new iPhone 15 pro in late January. Weather hasn’t allowed me to be out driving much, but the few times I have, the Bluetooth has been disconnected so many times it’s unbearable. I bought sounds to go along with the update of the radio, package tray had it reupholstered for the new speakers that were added. Now this radio keeps disconnecting. The phones software is up to date & still, same thing. I’ve disconnected it, repaired it. Same issue. When it has disconnected, I’ve been on the freeway, heavy traffic, it disconnects, like last night. Headed to an event after 6pm, traffic, disconnects. Headed home, bout 9:30, much less traffic & the thing actually stayed connected. I don’t know what’s going on with this connection all of a sudden but I’m wondering if the Bluetooth from Aurora Designs should be updated, is it my new phone, is it the carrier, is it so many other Bluetooth devices it’s searching for to try and connect to other connections, is it too much interference happening that it can’t stay connected? Either way, I payed a lot of money for the update radio, waited for it to land, installed, all these costs add up to a lot for this radio not to stay connected to Bluetooth.
Please give me some solutions as to what I can do to pin point my dilemma. Thanks..

Sorry to hear of your issue. From your description this sounds like an issue with Bluetooth Classic (streaming/phone) not with Bluetooth Smart or the App. Please contact your original dealer who did the radio conversion as they will have the specifics on your radio and will be able to address your disconnect issue. This is definitely not normal and there should be no incompatibilities with your iPhone 11 or with the latest iOS.
