A Happy Fold+ User Sharing Appreciation

Dear Fold Money Team,

Big Thank and kudos to you for building the app !!!!!!

I’ve been using Fold Money on iOS for quite some time now, and as a paid subscriber, I can confidently say it’s one of the best personal finance apps I’ve used.

What stands out the most is the UI. It’s clean, thoughtfully designed, and makes managing finances feel effortless rather than overwhelming. The transaction tracking is excellent, and I love how everything is organized in a way that gives me a clear picture of my spending, accounts, and overall financial health.

The automatic tracking, categorization, and insights have genuinely helped me stay on top of my finances without needing to manually manage everything. Features like transaction search, filtering, and cash flow tracking make the experience even better. Fold has done a great job of bringing together banking, credit cards, and investments into a single, elegant interface.

I’ve been recommending Fold to my friends and relatives because it’s one of those rare apps that actually delivers on its promise. It’s refreshing to see an India-focused finance product with such attention to detail and user experience. Many users have praised the app’s design, automation, and transaction tracking capabilities, and my experience has been equally positive.

A big thank you to the entire Fold team. Please keep doing the great work. The product is moving in the right direction, and it’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into every update. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.

Highly recommended.

Great App for Managing Money

I’ve been using Fold for about a month now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s simple, clean, and incredibly accurate when it comes to tracking expenses. The app makes it really easy to understand where my money is going without feeling overwhelmed.

What I like most is how it feels like having a personal money manager in your pocket. Everything is well organized, and the insights are actually useful, not just numbers on a screen.

Overall, one of the best finance apps I’ve used. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to manage their money better without any hassle.

Fold is fantastic !! I am addicted to it

I have recently been using Fold and have been impressed by its capabilities. Fold’s experience is exceptional, and its design and user interface are both simple and elegant.

I have a few suggestions for improvements that Fold could implement:

* Addition of PPF from Post Office or Other Banks/Stocks: I would like to add my PPF from the post office or other banks/stocks (which I purchase from US through IndMoney) to my net worth.
* Manual/Partner-Fetched Asset Addition: I would also like to add assets manually or through a partner. This could include cash investments, land real estate, vehicles (two/four-wheelers and their current IDV), physical gold and silver value, or any other type of asset.
* Merchant Logo Extraction from Transactions: I would appreciate it if Fold could extract the actual merchant logo from transactions.
* Auto Tag Feature: I am also a fan of the auto tag feature.
* Insights/Analysis Feature for Investments: I am hopeful that Fold will soon implement an insights/analysis feature for investments.

Excited for feature roadmap of fold.

One kind request: Bring this app to Mac and iPad support . Also if possible to apple watch to quickly check the updates.

Top Elite Level UI / UX ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely mind-blowing experience! Haven’t had such buttery smooth experience with an App in a long time. Feels VERY Apple-like. It not only does everything it claims to do, but also tells me what’s coming next. I’m a fan! The only missing pieces for me personally are the ability to track Joint Accounts, Govt. / Corporate Bonds, and most importantly the Wallets such as Lazypay. If you can please make this happen, I’d pay way more than the “Believer” price-tag to own this App forever. Take my money! :))

Free, Functional, and Fast—That’s FOLD!

I’m the kind of person who meticulously tracked expenses in Excel spreadsheets since 2015. A while back, I switched to Cashew, but this year I made a commitment: track every transaction. That’s when I discovered FOLD, and I haven’t looked back.

FOLD combines a beautifully crafted UI with thoughtfully designed functionality that makes expense tracking genuinely enjoyable. The fact that it operates on a freemium model makes it accessible to everyone, which is exactly what budgeting tools should be.

Kudos to the developers for creating something this good! A humble request: please keep this app ad-free and consider making the subscription tier even more affordable.

The first of its kind!

I’ve been searching for an app that provides reliable, secure Indian bank sync (Jai hind) for free for a very long time and I can get by all of the features that are offered in the free tier of the current app with ads (as long as it’s not too intrusive/annoying! As a student, until I reach a stable income level, I can’t afford to pay for the app’s premium features, yet. Just one thing to note is that I hope the free version of the app doesn’t worsen over time, in fact I hope you add more features to the free tier (limited refresh), seeing the convenience features of which people should upgrade!

One of the best automatic money tracker

Getting all the data automatically is why I love using this, I only need to review once a day and I get clean view of my expenses over months and years, and can track credit card spends and investments easily too! Excited for the future features as well..

If Apple were to get into this, this is how they’d do it!

I am a fan of this app from its early days when I came across a Reddit comment recommending this app. Since then I have been preaching my friends how this is a must have app on their phones. Ability to sync multiple emails for credit card is the only missing feature that is stopping me from seeing everything happening in my bank accounts. Keep up with this amazing job!

Thank you, Shubham! It warms our hearts to read this.

Greatest money manager in the world

Well integrated money manager, probably the best in the world, be it still has some bugs.

I am unable to refresh my stocks portfolio, it always shows refresh will be available at night 9 but it wont refresh, been stuck at old portfolio for 5months now.

Would be nice if you guys had upi and be able to apply limits to certain group of transactions, like if i have spent 2000 in a month already, block my transaction from going through if my monthly shopping budget is 2000.

Hi, thank you so much for the review. Your stocks are refreshed every day at the shown time. If your stocks data remains stale for a long time please re-connect it by going to your Profile > Investments > Stocks & ETFs and scroll down to find a disconnect option. Then, add it again from Profile > Investments > + button on top right. This should fix it for you. We have budgeting planned for Q1 next year!

Arguably the best personal finance app

I’ve used many budgeting apps over the years including mint, ynab, pocketguard etc, and this is the most impressive one. Really snappy performance and most importantly, the monthly spending summaries that are weighted on reliable auto tagging, which is a big issue in all the other apps. Once you guys perfect auto-tagging you should make this a paid-only service, because free budgeting apps die a slow death, and this is an app I’d want to heavily rely on for years.

Crazy experience

By far the best app experience I have ever had. Modern minimalist UI with no clutter, no ads, plain simple working elegant thing. I am very impressed with the UI. Works flawlessly for all the features that are supported. Kudos to all the designers, product managers, developers working on this. I loved the way there are linked articles acknowledging the gaps and plans to improve those. That is awesome.
It lacks some integrations though like SVG gold bonds from providers like tickertape in the investment section, credit card support for cards like flipkart axis, icici sapphiro, etc.
But a good job with the overall product.
I would suggest adding a section with recommendations based on spend analysis, like what should be the savings and spending percentage as per different recommendations for growing wealth.
This app does solve a major problem for tracking all expenses, this used to be a big hassle for me.
Thanks for developing this.

Minimalistic Account Tracking Buddy

I’ve been using Fold Money for quite some time and really love its minimalistic UI design. The app does have a slight learning curve, but the tutorial explains everything clearly. I track my expenses manually in a notebook and find the app shows my spending with pretty good accuracy. There’s definitely room for further development—one suggestion would be to integrate AI for automatically categorizing transactions based on banking notes, with the option to review at a preferred time. This would make the experience even smoother. Overall, Fold Money feels like my mini account-tracking buddy, and I really hope the team continues improving it.

Best App Store Find for Indian Bank Integration and Stellar Support

This is so far the best app available on the App Store for Indian consumers, providing seamless bank account sync and integration.

The customer support is also amazing. They usually respond quickly and solve your problems promptly.

Since it is relatively new, not all banks are available yet. However, major banks are included.

Suggestion: The app creators can continue getting more banks on board to provide seamless account integration. For the banks that are not available so far, a feature to allow manual data entry (perhaps using statements or recording transactions manually) could be very helpful. Later, with the addition of new banks, the recorded data could be compared and integrated with the actual bank data. This will help users to have a comprehensive overview of their transactions and wealth status.

The G.O.A.T. !!!

After searching all around everywhere. And waiting since forever, I think I have found the best money mana…no wait, the best app on the planet. I think you guys shave nailed it. I have also had the opportunity to email you guys and keep getting updates on the development of the app. The proactive discord community, and the features make this simply the GOAT. I have used other competitors as well but nothing comes close to the experience you guys provide. Kudos to the Fold team! And keep up the GOAT work!

Best expense tracker app I’ve used in India

This app has been super helpful in automatically tracking my expenses. It makes a world of difference on how I spend my money every month and it removes the hassle of manually adding each transaction like other apps require me to. Just one suggestion though.. the widgets of this app show up on the widgets page of my iPhone 15pro intermittently. And when it does show up, I wish it had the “Cash flow” feature of the app as a widget that I could add to my home screen. Thanks!

Love the app for tracking expenses

I have been using this app from past one month. I like the way it tracks my expenses, but the only thing is missing I have to close the app and reopen it again to fetch the recent transactions. And also it doesn’t automatically refresh the transaction after two days and most of the times the refresh fails. If you could fix this in the next update, then it would be a best step for tracking the expenses

Thank you so much for writing this review! The issue, where you have to restart the app to see the latest data is real and we are working to resolve it. Some banks don’t send transactions on certain days like weekends, et cetera. There’s not much we can do about that, but we have been in close touch with the banks to help them resolve these issues.

Need more functions

It could become all in one expense tracker. A few more features can be added, like adding investment portfolios using another mobile number, support for more credit card / bank accounts, an option to keep a track of cash expenses. Should have an option to add a monthly budget. Should have an option to add investment goal.
Such many small things can be added. It’s good at this stage, can be better.

Hi, We recently added manual cash transactions in the latest release, this you can use it to track your cash expenses and for refund/EMI related credit card transactions as well. Most of the features you mentioned above will be added in Fold in upcoming months.

Excited to Have an India-Centric PFM with Secure Data Retrieval!

I’m really happy to have found Fold, a personal finance management app focused on Indian users. One of the standout features is the AA (Account Aggregator)-based data retrieval system, which is incredibly safe, secure, and advanced. Unlike foreign PFMs that rely on services like Yodlee, Plaid, and SaltEdge—where you need to share your banking user credentials (a huge risk for compromise)—Fold uses a much safer method without needing to expose sensitive information.

I’m also excited that Fold is built with Indian users in mind. Unlike other foreign PFMs, where billing is done in dollars and most features are US-centric, Fold is tailored for the Indian market. I’m hopeful this means we’ll see features that actually serve Indian consumers’ needs.

Overall, I’m really pleased and excited about this app—it’s refreshing to see an Indian product designed for Indian users! Highly recommended!

An app for all the generations

I've been eagerly searching for an app that can help me organize and track expenses while also managing investments, and I finally found one that meets these needs. After thoroughly exploring its features, I compiled a list categorized into pros and cons for a better understanding of the app.

Pros:
1. The UI is simple and intuitive.
2. Adding bank accounts involves minimal steps.
3. The tag feature allows easy categorization of expenses.
4. Web login functionality is straightforward.
5. The layout of features and graphics enhances the overall user experience.

Cons:
1. It lacks support for cash transactions, which is a significant omission given the continued use of physical currency.
2. There's no manual entry option, a feature I really hoped to find. This is particularly disappointing when credit cards aren't supported. I hope the team considers adding this feature in the future; otherwise, I may need to search for an alternative app.

Hi, Thank you for detailed feedback. We are working on adding the cash transactions and manual entry. It should be available in few months. Can you please tell us which credit card are you using? We support HDFC, ICICI, Axis, SBI, IDFC, HSBC credit cards and working towards adding more card providers. Please do write to us at support@fold.money if you face any issues in credit card linking.

Great Start 🚀

I am seeing such apps in western market from long and great to see initiatives by Fold Money. That is even more exciting to see Indian Banking Ecosystem taking technology seriously and opened up for startups. Our talent will push this to next level and help lots of consumers.

My one advice to fold money team, Take this as opportunity to serve consumers by making them financially educated. It will not just about showing data better way, implement things intelligently and inspire them to make wise decisions. e.g. Show them you can take a loan of x amount if you have y amount of balance. Same for their investments. Also cheering up them for more investment focused than expenses focused. Those personalise notifications and complete set up financial education module in app will make wonders.

I know, It's start and I am sure it will improved a lot in coming years. I just wanted to say, you are having best UI/UX team 🎉. Best of luck team for your future endeavours.
