Does what Widgetsmith and other widget apps can't
I've tried a lot of widget apps, and they're all great for building widgets but fall short the moment you want control over app placement. WidgetLoft is different — it's a widget app and an app launcher combined, so you get both in one place. You can customize the layout of your apps exactly how you want, separators included, and the level of control here is something the other apps just don't offer.
On top of that, I had a couple of questions and reached out to support — they got back to me quickly with clear, helpful answers.

WidgetLoft is a really useful app for keeping your Home Screen organized and easy to access. 📱 You can group apps into colorful folders, launch them from widgets, and even add websites, shortcuts, contacts, and custom links. I’d use it to keep my most-used apps in one place and avoid constantly swiping through Home Screen pages. The custom icons, tags, backups, and iCloud sync make it even more useful.

Finally, a launcher that just works.
I can add my apps easily, no fussing around with shortcuts or url schemes. I can make subfolders with relevant icons. The widget looks tidy and functions correctly. Apps launch smoothly. It just does what it's supposed to do and gets out of my way otherwise! Incredible! Breathing a sigh of relief having found this app.
