Doesn’t Work

I selected the fonts to install and followed the instructions it listed, but none of the fonts I “install” show up in the Fonts section of Settings, nor any apps that use custom fonts. I don’t know if this is an iPadOS 16.2 issue or an app one, but still disappointing nonetheless :(

Hi, thanks for your response. Since iOS14 fonts installed via configuration profiles (the method Fonteer) uses no longer show up in the fonts section in Settings. However, they can still be accessed by other apps! You can check which fonts you installed under ‘VPN & Device Settings’ and check the contents of the profile. You can also check Apple’s Pages app, in which you can use the fonts installed via Fonteer.

Doesn’t work

App loads fonts into a vpn profile while iOS 15 cannot seem to recognize as fonts. Needs to be updated.

Thank for your review. Since iOS14 fonts installed via configuration profiles are no longer shown in Settings, but they are still available to other apps (provided the apps support installed fonts).

Doesnt work with ios 14

Ever since updating to ios 14 none of my installed fonts show up in system or any apps. It use to work great, but now it doesnt. Why is this not fixed yet?

Thanks for your review. The apps in which the fonts were available in iOS 13 and are no longer in iOS 14 need an update. You can try to contact the developers yourself or send me a list of apps (info@design-luscinia.nl) so I can contact them. Kind regards, Jack

Was Great Now Broken?

I've used Fonteer for about 4 years. It worked well for many years but recently it’s stopped working. When a font is imported utilizing one of the font sites Fonteer recommends, the font that's added is always 'empty' so no font has really been added.

Using other tools I can see that the font is really there...but it seems like Fonteer just doesn’t see it.

Horrible.

This app is not only confusing, but doesn’t work in the slightest. After you try to downland it, just leads you back to the app. Don’t waste your time and find a different app.

Can’t use

I downloaded the font. Installed the font. It’s showing it’s there. But when I go to notes or anywhere else I’m able to use fonts. They don’t pop up.

Importing paid fonts

Why is there no way to bulk import from the files app? If I want to import, for example, Sophia Pro I have to do this once for each of the sixteen sub-fonts: open files, navigate to font, select one (selecting all of them does not work), press share, find then select the app, then select the collection. After 16 of those I end up with a single font installed.

Fonteer & iOS 13

Yesterday I downloaded the Fonteer app on my XS-Max and my iPad (2018 model). Both devices are up to date in terms of operating systems (iOS 13) and Fonteer worked perfectly without any issues. I loaded 20 new fonts and then opened 2 different programs (Pages & PDF Expert) on each device (phone & iPad) to see which fonts would carryover. Surprisingly all 20 fonts showed up on each program on both devices. I went ahead and checked to see if each font worked properly and looked as they should = 100% satisfied. Fonteer was easy to use and they have a great array of different fonts.

Is there a way to install ttf files to the app?

I have a ttf file on my phone that I would like to use but I don’t know how to install it to the app

Doesn’t work at all

Hi I’m wondering why the app doesn’t change the font on anything that I’ve tried using it on even though I triple checked that I did the instructions step by step

An app should allow you to select between the system fonts; please check the app description and/or in-app instructions for a list of apps that do.

Doesn’t work!

Unfortunately this app doesn’t work like its supposed to. I’ve followed the directions several times and even had someone else do it. I get through the whole process and it won’t let me add the fonts as a third-party keyboard. Kind of a disappointing app.

Hi Kayla, Thanks for your feedback. Fonteer does NOT add a keyboard, because keyboards do NOT enable you to use different FONTS*. Fonteer allows you to install fonts that then become available to other apps. Unfortunately not all apps allow you to freely choose a font. See the list in the app description or in-app instructions for apps that DO allow you to use installed fonts. If your intention is to use different fonts in iMessage or email, you can have a look at ‘text hipster’. This app allows you to create small images from text, so you can use styles you can’t use by plain text. *There ARE apps that install keyboards allowing you to type different characters. This is by no means a different font, but can create a funny effect nonetheless. Please note that most developers respond quicker when you contact them directly. Hope this was helpful. Not enough time to figure out how to use.

I tried it and liked it ok but I couldn’t figure out how to install my fonts from font bundle. By the time I figure it out and made me a collection to install before I could see if it would work it told me I was out of install to upgrade. The instruction with this app and iOS 13 are hard to figure out. So I guess I’ll keep looking until I find a app that I can use and figure out before I buy.

Not a good app

Takes a great deal f time to figure out. Then I selected several apps, taking more time to go through them all, and only three downloaded in the profile.
