Food Scanner AI Overlay turns food photos into clear, AI-generated nutrition estimates on iPhone. Take a photo or choose one from your library, then review estimated calories, carbohydrates, fat, protein, fibre, and concise nutrition highlights. The default Local iPhone Vision mode runs on device for quick, private estimates. Advanced users can optionally configure external AI providers with their own API keys. Cloud options include OpenAI GPT-5.6, Google Gemini 3.5 Flash, Anthropic Claude Fable 5, and xAI Grok 4.5. Local-network options include Ollama vision models and user-selected PocketPal models. Provider availability, billing, and API access are controlled by each provider. The app also includes an optional generic companion mode that can receive an image from another device on the same local network. Companion hardware is not required; the complete analysis workflow works independently on iPhone.
