Pointless
Useless app. Doesn’t flag dangerous additives. Just shows the government health star rating that’s a completely flawed system and is already on most packaging. There are much better apps available to assist in making healthier purchasing decisions.
Not enough data
The times I have scanned barcodes to find alternative foods to help my CKD and the foods that have not been found far outweigh the effectiveness of this app make it not being worth using

Sadly this App is now no help when it comes to gluten in products. Even if funding was/is an issue, why not keep using the data you already had with a disclaimer??

Lacking too many things
I scanned a whole lot of things and only one item was in the database. When I tried to add new items as suggested, there was an error and it didn’t work. It’s a bit pointless if you can’t scan things.
Pointless in NZ
No longer has gluten free as pert of it, despite being pointed to by healthify. Tells you to download GlutenSwitch which isn’t actually accessible in NZ so overall a bit pointless. No funding in NZ it seems so no data either, unlike in AU.

The app is excellent at scanning items and providing information but scanned items stored in purchases and recents are not retained.

does not scan items
Of the items I scanned - including popular Australian brands - only half where recognised. The scanning facility is difficult to use and is very slow, it did not focus. This app is only half finished at best.

Useless In Practice
I tried 4 items of well known UK brands all of which are very familiar to British shoppers and none were in the database. Asking each time to take photographs is expecting too much given the apps 100% failure rate. Sadly I had very high hopes of FoodSwitch and feel if it is only suitable for one particular market (US?) then it should be shown as such to avoid wasting a lot time for all concerned.

I have been waiting for an email to confirm my account for nearly a week. No email has surfaced, not in junk or spam. There is no way to contact the developers to report a bug so I have to leave a bad review here.
Not store-specific
I tried to use this app in Aldi and every recommendation was for items in other stores.
This app would benefit from offering a store-specific option. Sometimes I’m not going to shop in three different places and need to know the best options in the shop I’m in.

Pointless
Database is small and the information they offer is just simple. Focuses on salt sugar and fat when I was looking for bad chemicals in food.
Broken database?
Hasn’t identified any item yet. Only allows 3 scans per day?? App looks nice but doesn’t do anything…
Try again
Could be useful if its database were larger. I’ve tried to send info for unrecognized foods but after taking all four required photos, I’m always told to “try again.” Developers, try again!
Gluten Free
I had used this app for Gluten free scanning, the new changes does not let me know item is gluten free only healthy choices, disappointed, as I use to use this quite abit.

Good App Overall
Great options and information but doesn’t work offline, and sadly both of my nearest supermarkets are black holes.
