Why pay for others when this is free??
Sure other apps exist. Why use them? What do they offer over this free alternative?

I’ve been using the Apple screen time features to try to limit my time on scrolling apps, but it’s way too easy to override it. Using Foqos with the NFC + Pause Timer strategy, I can give myself a scroll break that ends after 15 minutes, and I can’t override it without getting out of my seat. I appreciate all the ways you can customize the app to implement the limiting strategy you want, including blocking domains in Safari.

Beats Brick and holds it up by its feet
We had brick in my house till I moved out recently and I downloaded this. Purchased a billion NFC tags for barely $8, they connected perfectly to this app, same concept except I didn’t have to pay the $50 for the Brick. The app is free and works wonderfully with all the charms of the other screen time app. The physical aspect keeps me off my phone better than anything else. This over any other screen app.
Only thing I would change is it would be nice to have the option to lock your phone down without the physical aspect, but require it for unlocking it so you don’t have to have a tag or QR to shut things down.

LOVE IT!
Wanted a brick but I think it’s pretty capitalist and stupid frankly to be buying an item when that’s the reason we’re sucked into our phones anyway - to be consumers. Had an old nfc tag lying around and stuck it to a figurine to use as my “brick.” Super functional and actually makes a difference + consistently works unlike my native apple screentime!!
