Participant Perspective
The setup wasn’t easy. Getting the email from the clinic takes a few attempts. The links to both download and activate work, but the next screen asks for a Participant ID that is not given in the email. Three ID’s and an access code, multiplied by however many patients my office can handle, is a burden. Troubleshooting directly with the developer would be ideal relief.
The app plays a tutorial to explain the “game” but it leaves out some details. The first couple days were a learning curve, like only a tap outside the shapes will register, and the pace of response. I haven’t confirmed if the location of the shapes is a relevant as their appearance is.
The app crashed as soon as the new iOS update was available. I deleted and reinstalled it after updating my device. The whole process took another few days out of my training, starting from the beginning with a new email.
