About

It's 5pm, and somehow nobody in the house knows what's for dinner. Again. Forkenspoon fixes that by putting a whole community of home cooks in your corner. Discover what other families are cooking Browse dishes shared by real home cooks — not polished food-blog perfection, just what people actually make on a Tuesday night. Follow the ones whose taste matches yours, and let their week inspire your own. Fork a recipe, make it yours Found a dish you're keen to try? Fork it. Tweak it to taste, and it stays linked back to where the idea started — because a good recipe only gets better as it passes from kitchen to kitchen. Plan the week in five minutes Drag dishes — yours or forked from the community — onto the week ahead and just… see it. No more "we have nothing planned" panic at 5pm. A grocery list that writes itself Whatever's on the plan turns straight into a shopping list — tick things off as you go, or copy the whole thing to send to whoever's doing the shop. Cook together as a household Set up a household so meal plans and grocery lists sync for everyone — no more "I thought YOU were sorting dinner" texts. Switch on Household mode and choose from everyone's recipes, likes, and go-tos in one shared list, so picking what's for dinner is a group decision, not a guessing game. Keep the family secrets, secret Not every recipe is meant for sharing. Save grandma's lasagna as a "secret recipe" and it stays yours alone. Forkenspoon isn't trying to turn you into a food influencer. It's a community built around one simple idea: recipes are better shared.

What's New in forkenspoon

1.0.9

November 4, 2026

What's new in 1.0.9 A faster start. Tell us at least 3 dishes you normally cook, like your go-to Chilli Spag Bol, and we'll save them to your Recipe Book as drafts. Fill in the details whenever you're ready. Know what to do next. A new "What's next?" card in your Recipe Book guides you to plan your week, add ingredients so your grocery list builds itself, or add more dishes. Excluded Ingredients. Allergic to peanuts or just not a fan of coriander? List the ingredients you avoid in Settings and any dish containing them is hidden everywhere: Feed, your Recipe Book and the Planner. Open where you like. Forkenspoon now opens on your Recipe Book by default. Prefer the Planner, Groceries or Feed? Change it in Settings under "Open App On". Clearer filters. My Recipe, Liked, In Rotation and In Draft are greyed out until you have a dish in them, and are on by default once you do. Tips your way. At the end of a "Did you know?" video, tick or untick "Show these tips on launch" to keep or turn off tips at startup. Fixes. Ingredients and instructions no longer occasionally go missing when saving a dish. Plus small tidy-ups, including clearer messages on the Groceries screen.
