Great App
I moved to Katy, TX, in September 2025, and when I first came to the library, I was surprised to learn they didn’t have an app. I came from St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, where the library had an excellent app that even my daughter, who was in 3rd grade, could use to search for books and place holds.
I remember asking the person at the front desk how such a large, well-established library didn’t have an app in 2025! I’m so glad they finally got one.
The app is easy to use, and I love that I can scan my library card directly from my phone. It’s still not as child-friendly as the one I used before, but just having it on my phone makes my life much easier. It’s perfect for checking my holds and keeping track of when my books are due.

Works like it should!
The app does exactly what it says! I like that I can scan the barcode from the app if I forgot to bring my physical library card to the branch! I’ve had no issues searching for library material, placing holds, or finding programs.
