What's New in Fractal Travel
1.13.0
October 3, 2026
- New: Color By. Color Mandelbrot, Julia, and the other escape-time patterns by Escape, Stripe, Trap, or Distance. - New: Soft and Vivid tones, with palette swatches in Color Studio that match the screen. - Smoother palettes without hard color bands. - A redesigned, consistent look for every button and panel. - Fractal Travel is now available in Korean. Panel text follows your text size setting, and the canvas works with VoiceOver. - Mandelbrot and Julia now keep their detail down to a trillion times (1e12x). They used to turn into flat color at around 100 million times. - Zoom limits now follow each pattern's precision, and the Zoom Limit panel shows each pattern's maximum. Burning Ship, Tricorn, and 8 more patterns keep their detail to 1e10x. - Newton, Magnet, Nova, Sine, Exponential, Boxfold, Ikeda, Kaliset, Sierpinski Carpet, Koch Snowflake, and Apollonian Gasket now stop at 10,000x, and Lyapunov and Bifurcation at 2,000x, even with a higher Max Zoom. Past those depths their images only broke into flat blocks. On large screens and in some regions they stop sooner, and the Zoom Limit panel shows the limit for the current view. - Max Zoom is optional: leave it at Pattern max to zoom as far as each pattern allows. - Saved images, wallpapers, GIFs, and videos are rendered directly at their export size, so 4K saves show real 4K detail. - The canvas stays smooth while you move it and sharpens as soon as you stop. - The subscription screen shows the renewal terms next to the purchase button, and Restore tells you when there is nothing to restore. - Settings links to the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and open-source licenses, and has a switch to stop sending usage analytics. - Opening the app right after your subscription renews no longer resets your last exploration to the free limits.
