Great UI and Features

Love the clean UI and easy access to several focal lengths! App gives you exactly what you need with a super intuitive UI. Great app!

Good support

I had a couple of questions and I was helped immediately! Thanks!

Very helpful

I’ve used this to experiment angles for my photography

Clean and Useful

Super clean UI, generally just a nice looking app. Saved a lot of hassle for location scouting. Appreciate the feature request section. Looking forward to using FrameUp on future projects!

Excellent!

Really great UI. Easiest to use of the viewfinder’s I’ve tried so far.

Solid

Works well. I like the quick settings feature. Looking forward to future updates

Needs all sensor modes

Great interface but just having the full sensor width makes this app not very useful, unless I’m only shooting open gate.

Response from developer

Update: Hi, v1.3.0 was just released today and includes support for sensor modes/formats. It includes support for all ARRI, RED, BMD cameras along with most Canon and Sony cine cameras. Support for the rest of the library is rolling out prioritized by popular request. If you have a specific camera in mind, please shoot me an email and I can make sure to add it to the queue. frameup@ronanfuruta.com Original: Hi, yes, currently working on that feature and it should be out in the coming months as a free standard feature. It takes more time to implement that than just supporting open gate. In the meantime, you can dial in custom sensor widths with the pro version. I’m glad you liked the interface. If you notice anything else you would like in the app, please feel free to reach out to frameup@ronanfuruta.com Thank you, Ronan

Excellent

Has worked great on many different projects. Pro version is priced well, but the free one is enough for most people.

A Tool You Will Use

FrameUp is a tool you can whip out without any hesitation, and it has exactly the features that professionals want — nothing more, nothing less. Losing momentum is the worst, but using this viewfinder, it doesn't remind you it's there; it's far too sleek and streamlined to ever burden you. You will WANT to use it, and you bet I will on every project from now on. It's a no-brainer!

Absolutely Incredible

Frame up is an absolute savior when it comes to scouting and shooting and everything before and after and in between. I can use this to scout and storyboard. Previs. Blocking walkthrough rehearsal anything. So great so customizable. Love not having to draw battery and sling a 20lb rig on my shoulder for a dry take.

Easy to use

I really like the simple interface and the gesture shortcuts to easily change settings and capture frames for reference.

Frame Up

Frame up is easy to use and very convenient. Whether on set or on the go it has been a huge help and strongly recommend it!

Great viewfinder!

I like my apps to be simple to use and effective for the purpose it was intended. I don’t want to see a lot of extraneous bells and whistles that just slow things down when I’m trying to set up on location. I’ve been trying out FrameUp for a few days and I’m impressed by its clean design and intuitive feel. It seems like the developer uses his own product or designed for actual directors or DPs in mind. For the price, the extra features in the pro version are worth the upgrade.

Indispensable

FrameUp has been very fast and easy to use on set. Its viewfinder is the largest and most non-distracting.
