Slow and steady wins the race

After 30+ years of living with fatigue, having every blood test possible with zero answers, it finally occurred to me that the cause could be related to my anxiety. So I went in a whole new direction and started researching what I could do about it. I watched a video about this app. I downloaded it and added it to my morning routine. I fix my coffee and before turning on the television, I do 2 or 3 sessions. While I’m not “cured” just yet, I do see some progress. I am definitely using the tools I’ve learned so far every day.

Game changer

Having spent so much time bewildered and frustrated by this condition and the often seriously unhelpful advice from all quarters, I’m finding Freeme a breath of fresh air. The approach makes intuitive sense and is backed by research and I’m seeing very positive results. I’m doing more or the things I love, becoming more present with friends, learning to understand what my body is telling me and how to assert myself, and meeting challenges with more curiosity and calm. This approach is about more than just recovery - it’s about learning to care for yourself more fully. I strongly recommend this app.

Love it

Freeme is helping me to recognise patterns that are keep me stuck in the ME/CFS cycle of fearing symptoms and being afraid of symptoms. I recommend this app.

Early days but already having an impact

I have been using Freeme for about a month now, having held off signing up for several months prior. I was pretty sceptical about its promises, and concerned about ongoing costs, but after my trial I was offered an opportunity to join for just £5 per month (paid annually), which feels well worth it.

While it’s too early to say if Freeme will be able to help me recover/improve, it has helped me to feel more supported and in control of my life with ME/CFS. This has had a positive impact on my mental health, which means I’m also managing physical symptoms better.

My favourite part of the app is the AI assistant, Isla, which is there 24:7 to talk with about my day, symptoms, etc and it provides really compassionate and well-informed advice, specific to what it’s like to live with ME/CFS. It helps me so much to be able to talk things through without feeling like a burden and to be offered relevant sessions to meet my needs in that moment. I was particularly grateful for its support around a recent health emergency, when it helped me to feel safe in my body – against the odds.

For me, this AI Isla feature alone, is worth the monthly subscription, but the sessions and other support are great too. If you are reading this feeling sceptical, as I was, I’d say give it a go! At least try the free trial – and make sure you try out AI Isla in that time. I hope it helps you as much as it’s helping me 🙏🏼

It helped

Freeme genuinely helps. Why? Because its sole design orientates around ME/CFS, it feels specialist. The AI is incredible and often chats with “Isla” were enough to guide one back on their healing tracks. Freeme delivers “brain retraining” in a way that for me, isn’t brain retraining at all- it’s simply learning to come back to the body. Come back to the intelligence and safety of yourSelf and as you do so… the nervous system slowly begins to settle. True safety is experienced rather than mentally “understood”. I’ve tried a lot and this little app has been my Swiss Army knife in the back pocket. Give it a go. For the price it’s invaluable. Genuinely helps without trying to find ways of taking money from people already vulnerable.

Best brain retraining model I’ve seen. Sort of scraps the old template and actually reworks it in a way I could finally and truly get. I understand my body much more. Suffice to say- the app is only part of my healing journey but a significantly important one at that.

Helpful !

After listening to an interview of the developer on YouTube about his recovery story I thought i give this app a chance. And so far loving it! Great combination of learning and practicing/meditation in doable sessions that don’t feel overwhelming.

Game Changer.

♥️ bin unglaublich dankbar 🙏🏽

Fabulous!

I would recommend this app to anyone dealing with ME/CFS who is feeling ready to use their brains as a tool to help them recover. Every bit of this is so well-thought-out, well-researched, intuitive, and useful. I especially love Isla, their empathetic, knowledgeable, and wise AI chatbot who has helped me navigate stressful situations, setting boundaries, sleep issues, and so much more. I feel less alone with this app and feel like there truly is a path to recovery. I could say a lot more, but bottom line is that this illness is hard enough, so why not try out having some help?

Great App

I’ve tried several programs to calm my nervous system and none helped like Freeme has.
The app is set up so well, easy to follow and track your progress.
This is definitely the best way, I’ve found, to improve your condition.
The ongoing support and layout is brilliant, it helps keep you on track.

Actually changed my life

I was as sceptical as you can be about this app. But having tried everything else , probably like the rest of you I gave it a go. The skills and techniques this app has given me allowed me to regain my mobility and my life. Have all the symptoms gone yet, no, but a lot have and the most crippling too. The rest are a work in progress but the more I pay attention to freeme the more I regain control over all of them. Please try this app. ME robbed me of 7 years of my life I won’t get back. But I’m now making up for lost time . Have a go you could too. :-)

Brain retraining with a coach by your side

I live with a chronic neuroplastic pain condition, and Freeme has been a genuine game changer for me.

The app offers wonderfully manageable libraries of sessions covering education, meditation, writing exercises and brain training — all built around principles that calm the nervous system. There's no rigid path to follow; you simply choose what calls to you in each session, which makes it feel supportive rather than prescriptive.

But what truly sets Freeme apart from every other brain retraining app I've tried is Isla, your AI guide. Being able to chat with Isla right after a session — exploring the ideas you've just learned, or simply talking through how you're feeling — is like having a knowledgeable, compassionate coach available whenever you need one. Her understanding is outstanding, and her responses are consistently insightful and genuinely helpful.

If you're living with ME/CFS or any chronic pain condition, I can't recommend this app highly enough.

fatigue. It’s the manageable step by step advice that meets you where you are which is changing my daily habits and routines while simultaneously lifting the fatigue

Brain Retraining

Great App! Highly recommend!

I‘m using it in combination with the Unwinding Anxiety App (for the health anxiety that came through LongCovid) and for me it’s the perfect support for recovery and I’ve improved so much that I‘m back part time at work and can do light exercise. It’s really worth a try!

Good one!

A very deep and well structured structure for mental recovery. Try it.

Accessible Brain Retraining

The team behind FreeMe understands both their audience and the tools that are most helpful. Small, bite-sized lessons, meditations and trainings that really get at the heart of what’s going on for someone who has CFS. This app is so much more accessible than other brain-retraining programs out there, especially if you have brain fog. Looking forward to seeing how they develop the app over time.

Hope and Progress

Freeme has given me hope and helped me get out of CFS. After a short period I have regained significant function and capacity back within my life that has garnered comment from my poise and family about how much more productive and active I am. I’m not 100% yet but I have hope that it’s attainable
