Signal loss
I’ve done a LOT of troubleshooting but once it starts to happen I have to put up with it until I change the sensor. The huge drawback is no alarms are available once this issue starts occurring and it’s not continually communicating with the sensor.

Granular data needs IMPROVEMENT
Sensor is good. As other recent reviews suggest (repeatedly), the data presentation in the App itself is mediocre at best.
The graph homogenises the data far too much. The alarms work, but when acted upon and glucose levels are corrected, the alarm event is usually erased from view.
The time axis on the graph is too broad, leaving you guessing what time period you’re looking at, unless you keep adding manual notes just to highlight things. Graph should have a cursor or interactive option to access detailed information.
Overall the key function of managing glucose works, (top marks), but the rest of the interface is sadly lacking and could (easily ?) offer much better management options.

Glitchy and appalling customer service
I kept getting signal loss notifications, even when the phone is in my hand. I tried to troubleshoot with whatever recommendations were provided online to no avail. I finally contacted the company and the rep on the phone was shocking. She told me this was not their problem but mine, they are aware there’s a problem with the sensors not being compatible with iOS devices but that’s not their problem and that I should do my research. I asked if they had made this information available, and she said no but it will be made available sometime in the future. I then pointed out that if I had done my research as she’d said, this information would still be missing and therefore they’re misleading people into buying a product that isn’t doing what they’re promising. She said that’s not her problem, the sensors don’t work with Apple devices. She said I should get a new phone if I wanted to keep using their sensors, I said I was on the latest model and the app was updated as well, so what does “new phone” mean? Once again, she points out that it’s not her problem. I said I’d spent a lot of money on sensors that aren’t working and that I had used up my last sensor and will not be using their products in future. She said she will post me 1 replacement sensor and I better not call again as they don’t give freebies. I said What’s the point of sending me a sensor if it won’t work, She said she’s being kind and sending me a reader as well at no cost. I told her it’s of no use to me as I don’t want to use these products in the future especially if they come with such services, she said that’s a good idea and hung up. It says a lot about the company and its products if its employees behave this way.

Signal Loss Issue! – Needs Urgent Fix
I’ve been using the Libre2 system for over 24 months now, and while the day-to-day communication between the app and the sensor is generally solid, there is one persistent and extremely frustrating issue that has been completely ignored: signal loss after starting a new sensor.
For the past 6 months, every single time I apply a brand-new Libre2 sensor and initiate it using the LibreLink app, after the 1-hour wait period, I am hit with the infamous and infuriating “Signal Loss” message on screen. This only occurs when activating a new sensor — not during normal usage — which clearly points to an app-side issue rather than a device fault.
The only fix? I have to delete and reinstall the app every single time. That’s now 12 times in 6 months. Once reinstalled and logged back in, the app picks up the sensor immediately after the first scan, and the automatic readings resume as normal for the full 14-day sensor life. So why is this unnecessary step still required?
Frankly, it’s beyond a joke now. This issue has been well documented by users and clearly remains unresolved. It disrupts what should be a seamless experience for users relying on this system for their glucose management. This is not a minor inconvenience — it’s a major flaw.
I had previously rated the app 5 stars because when it works, it works well. But until this persistent sensor start-up communication bug is properly addressed and resolved, I’ll be leaving this lower rating as a reflection of my experience.
Fix this, and I’ll gladly update my rating accordingly.

Brilliant but a few snags
1). When recording a voice message in Msngr or What’s Ap, if the alarm goes off the voice message is either lost in Messenger completely or paused in What's Ap.
2). Alarm red tag gets stuck on and I have to go through several cycles of turning it off before the red tag clears.
Other than that I love the numerous features you provide and I find it very easy to use and use it regularly to review my control methods with my diabetic nurse.
This sensor has taken my diabetes to a whole new level I never thought was obtainable before in my 38 years of being a Type 1 Diabetic. So thank you again!

Automatic Glucose Monitoring only works sometimes
Usually it looses connections overnight and I have to rescan; but recently half way through my current sensor my phone just completely lost the connection. While I can still manually scan, the sensor no longer sends anything automatically. Retapping doesn’t resume the function either. Sensor doesn’t show up in the Bluetooth devices like it once did.
While I appreciate the attempt of auto glucose monitoring, this functionality still needs work. Until it’s improved my review will stay at 3 stars.

Laggy and more
-click “scan” and there is 1-2 (or more) seconds delay before scan window comes up. Same can apply to adding notes, switching between daily graph, logbook, etc.
-lag gets worse and worse with time. Closing and reopening app “resets” this lag - as others have said - but then after time using it again, the lag creeps up and gets worse and worse.
No functionality to tilt/rotate phone and view graph over wider area. 24 hour graph constantly looks “squashed” and makes glucose levels look far more “spikey” than they often are.
No option to add other metrics when recording food. Grams of protein? Fat? With each meal.
Comments and general translation of recording information does not translate well to reports. Info often gets squashed together -if 15g carbs is recorded, then say another 15g carbs recorded 15 mins later, they are lumped together as one 30g entry in the daily graph printout.
Yeah the CGM technology is great, what a time to be alive, let alone diabetic. Whatever. There is far more opportunity for this software that is simply not being realised or implemented. This has now been in use by the public for long enough for there to be updates to the operating system that are not just cosmetic.

Great app, but has become buggy
Only downside is since updates for the past few months it doesn’t always read the sensor quickly, even when directly on it. Never used to have that issue. Deleted and re-added the app which fixed for a week or two, but issues returned. Also lost the history in the app when deleted and reinstalled, even though the data is available via my login, it can’t be seen on the app. Things like estimated A1C don’t work without the history being there.
Other than that, great tool and I’d be lost without it.

If you are experiencing issues with the FreeStyle LibreLink iOS app version 2.5.1 and you have tried re-starting your phone, please contact customer service on 1800 801 478.
I have a request for a feature to be added to the app if possible
The only feature that is missing from the app is the option to add a manual blood glucose test add note option. You can only add a manual note to put in insulin delivery, food/carbs, activity but no option to add a manual blood test note. The only way you can do this is to create a note with insulin details, carbs & activity & then in the comment section write the reading in there but when it goes to the lib review page it’s only a note & is often lost & if anything happens to the testing machine it can’t be fixed just for those who don’t down load both phone & meter data to the site.
Great app & recommend it to everyone as the go to product but if the developers could add this as an option it would be pretty much perfect.
Keep up the great work! 😊

Brilliant functionality, in need of iteration and UX improvement.
It’s to the point where I would rather carry the librelink then use the app, even though the integration and technology is excellent. This poor choice of design has had a large negative effect to myself and likely many others. Many overactive hypos or stress because graphs aren’t mean to be designed in portrait.
I founded a User Experience Design agency with a large team that designs for enterprise and understand how hard design can be. Perhaps it’s just me, but I doubt it. I would like your design team to make efforts to validate the graph design issues as I have seen other comments echoing the same issue. Thanks.

Thank you for the note - we will look in to this.
You must click the ‘Check Glucose’ button every time you open the App.
Maybe 20% of the time you get errors scanning and you must repeat the process, which is weird, because that just never happens with any other Bluetooth LE devices that I use, nor with the freestyle handheld meter.
Otherwise, pretty good, and my preferred glucose meter out of the main players. Quite accurate, only a little lag.
