Really fun AND helpful!

I practice note navigation a few times a day with this app. I’ll even do it waiting between a set at the gym to kill 2 minutes and test my brain.

I wish I could go back to redo phase checks though for certain strings or sets of strings. Sucks you can’t go back other than custom quizzes. Wish you could create presets for quizzing speed and accuracy based on what you need vs never being able to go back,

You cannot reset the app once done

Works really well but inability to reset and no communication when I reached out for support.

Great app

Will help you learn the notes if you don’t have your guitar with you

Fabulous App

I have been trying to memorize notes on the fretboard for a long time. This app is teaching me them in a way that is engaging and fun.

Mandatory in app purchase

Contrary to some of the reviews, you cannot use this app at all without paying for it.

Super

Learning the fretboard!

Finally found an app that just helps me learn where notes are the fretboard. And it feels like it’s helping me to do my best.

Nice flash card like quiz

It’s worked well for getting me up to speed. Not so good for mastery.

It needs a feature where you can drill on notes that are doing poorly in your heat map. I’d like to see it prioritize those notes when doing a full board drill, rather than keep bringing up the notes you’ve already mastered. Throw those in periodically, but the focus should be mastery of your weaknesses once you reach the full board.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review! This is indeed on my roadmap, I want to integrate previous phases so you don't forget them and keep practicing while you learn the new ones. Been busy releasing the Microphone Trainer in the past weeks but I will work on this next.

Great app

Great little app for practicing/ learning fretboard positions. Easy to use.

Excellent…

Perfect for the learning the fretboard inside out. Well done👏

Very helpful for learning the fretboard

Awesome app. Simple but does what it promises. I’ve struggled to learn the names of the notes on my fretboard for ages but this gamified approach has worked where repetition has failed. The app is so good it’d be worth paying, but it’s actually FREE! 🙏

Suggestion: It would be even better if progress could be synced across multiple devices e.g., iPad and phone to track all practice sessions.

Really cool app

I’ve been looking for a way to flashcard myself and this has been by far the best solution I’ve come across. That said, I wish there was some more control over some aspects of the app.

1) I wish I could go back to different coach sections.

2) I wish there was a feature for the Custom Note Quiz that would require me to select all positions for a note before it’s counted as correct. Right now if I select any one of them it counts as completed. I submitted a feature request so we’ll see if it goes in.

3) I wish “play along on your guitar” was a customizable game just like the custom note quiz

Just started using

This app is amazing! I wish you could decide what string to work on because I would love to review and practice

Nice Free Option for Fret Practice

Just got the app, and there are no purchases required! App offers note practice along the entire neck with some adaptive learning stuff and stats of your performance (like note heat map - which notes take you longest to figure out). My only feedback is that the app only quizzes you on the natural notes on the neck, no sharps or flats and there is no setting to enable accidentals. However I do think that learning the natural notes first is pretty good regardless.
