I’m really impressed by Fromag.io! I’m just starting to get into fancy cheeses, and I was looking for a way to track the ones I’ve tried. This app has met that need for me, and then some! First off, it’s super user-friendly. I also like that there’s a community aspect, as you can follow other users to see their cheese reviews! You don’t have to share your own reviews if you don’t want to though - there is an option to keep them private if you prefer.
The app’s library of cheeses seems very extensive. If a cheese is missing, there’s a “Request Cheese” button - I tried this and the missing cheese was added by the developers the next day! There are other fun features too: a pairing tool that helps you pair any cheese with not only wine but also beer, fruit/jam, crackers, charcuterie, etc; a “Cheese Passport” tracks the countries whose cheeses you’ve tried; and a “Cheese of the Day”. I highly recommend for anyone who likes cheese and wants to learn more about it or journal their tastings!
