DARK Mode completely missing
The latest version of the app has no Dark Mode, Impossibly small font and no longer user friendly. Is ridiculously unreadable on ipadPro 12”. Seriously, Dark mode would at lrasy make it legible without a magnifying glass. Disappointed.

19/june/2036. Good job with the update. Still get that issue where it’s charging with 0kw. Solved by stopping charge and starting it when ??? Also when you select history from the bottom menu, it would be better if the total energy reflected the day, week, month, custom as per chosen one.

Eco mode doesn’t work anymore
Eco mode has been broken in the update. The parameters are set to charge car once battery SOC is reached, and there’s surplus PV available. Yet it keeps charging the reserva. The scheduler also doesn’t charge with surplus PV in normal mode and refuses to charge until the time window opens.
Force charging on eco mode will also not just charge from the reserva. It will pull from the grid too! That’s what standard mode is meant to do!
We need the status page back with more useful information. It used to say “how and why” the current status, but now that info is less and dumbed down.
Cmon fronius, everything else is top notch but this is quite a disappointment as it is. Please fix the bugs.

Waste of money outside of EU
For the price you pay for a Wattpilot, the app experience feels like an afterthought. The scheduler is frustratingly limited — you can only set one option for two separate timers, which makes it almost useless outside of the EU. People in Australia (and other non-EU markets) could really benefit from a more flexible, intelligent scheduler that actually lets you optimise for solar, cheap tariffs, and grid use. Right now, it feels like the hardware is great, but the software is holding it back.

1. Agree with decimal point displayed as dot instead of comma. When one changes frequency, there is no way of entering comma or decimal point, only whole numbers.
2. Why no flexible usage in Australia?
Been using app since November 2024 and has been great except when watt pilot did an update and didn’t work anymore. Factory reset solved that problem.

Misses core capabilities
The app has plenty of features I never use that I assume are useful to some but it completely lacks the ability to set and forget.
I want the ability to configure it to have my car charged by 6:30 am every day using off peak electricity over night UNLESS there is a solar surplus in which case use that at any time of day.
This seems a reasonable ask but is completely impossible to set despite having Fronius inverter. End result is often either paying for peak electricity or not charging the car.

gute Basis aber viel Luft für Verbesserung
Die Grundfunktionen und Integration mit dem Frinius Wandler klappt gut und das Laden zuverlässig. Leider fehlen eine Anzeige für den Ladestand und die Unterstützung für dyn. Stromtarife basiert auf Stündlicher anzeige und er Folgerag steht nicht ab 13:00 zur Verfügung und ist kaum benutzbar. Hier würde ich mir mehr wünschen ...

Etwas umständlich, aber benutzbar
Die App an sich bietet alle Funktionen, wenn man diese dann mal gefunden hat 😅
Verbesserungsbedürftig in der Systemarchitektur sind folgende Punkte:
1. Hotspot nicht deaktivierbar. Obwohl der Wattpilot mit dem Heim-Wifi verbunden ist, ist die Wattpilot_ SSID aktiv (Schieberegler Immer aktiv ist ausgeschaltet).
2. Bei Verbindungsverlust zwischen Wattpilot und Inverter (bspw. Netzwerk-/Routerneustart am Inverter) führt dazu, dass Wattpilotstatistiken nicht mehr im Solarweb angezeigt werden.
3. Anbieten einer Wallbox/Wattpilot-API zur Integration in Home Assistant.
Verbesserungsvorschläge für die App:
1. Erweiterter vs. Anfängermodus - im Anfängermodus nur die Funktionen für Nutzer anbieten, um versehentliches verstellen der Einstellungen zu vermeiden.
2. Integration des NFC Sensors des Smartphones zum Starten des Ladevorgangs.
3. Klarere Struktur der Einstellungen: bspw. durch eine Gliederung in Lademodi, Geräteeinstellungen, Netzwerk, Stromnetz. Maximal 2 Unter-Ebenen und Nutzung von direkten Schaltern in der Übersicht, also ohne ein Unterformular um einen einzelnen Wert einzustellen.

Fehler
Seit kurzem zeigt die App nur noch, dass man den Strom zum Laden vom Netz nimmt. Obwohl genug von der Sonne kommt oder der Speicher Voll ist.

Die perfekte Ladestation
Im Wattpiloten lässt sich einfach alles einstellen. In Verbindung mit einer Pv Anlage und einem flexiblen Tarif ist die App / Box einfach unschlagbar. Allerdings muss man sich am Anfang wirklich intensiv damit befassen, sonst ist das Auto auch mal nicht geladen, weil man sich mit irgendeiner Einstellung selbst blockiert hat.

Mittlerweile funktioniert das “intelligente Laden” recht gut. Für meine Anforderungen ist die App ausreichend und auch optisch gut umgesetzt.

Das macht Null Sinn und ist auf Grund der doppelten Wandlungsverluste ineffizient.

Very decent app with one big frustration
We really like the app, it gives you a lot of possibilities. The only thing that really frustrates us is that you can’t authenticate specific users using the app. We are interested in having reports per car and therefore need the reports per user in the app. But the users are only the tokens and cannot be selected when authenticating in the app. Please add this functionality and then we will give 5 stars

- Bei Start des PV Überschussladen direkter Wechsel von einphasig auf dreiphasig statt nach Umschaltzeit Intervall
- Gute wäre noch eine Möglichkeit der Leistungsbegrenzung z.B. auf max. 5,5 kw. Damit nach automatischem Wechsel von Dreiphasig auf Einphasig trotzdem mit 3,7 kw geladen wird statt wie bisher dann mit 1,8 kw (mit anderen Worten: Unterschiedliche Strombegrenzung je Phasenkonfiguration)
- Statistik/Auswertungen direkt in der App statt ausschließlich über Web Portal
- Statistik Auflistung kwh aus PV Überschuss, Hausspeicher und Netz, da Live Anzeige diese Daten zeigt sollte dass eine Kleinigkeit sein
